I've managed to get within 15km of Taranis' debris field (according to the admittedly unreliable HUD inside that area). I thought I was just able to make out the outer edge of the asteroids surrounding it, but am not entirely sure. The trick is to equip a ton of caustic sink launchers. I used an Imperial Cutter, also equipped with a load of Guardian Hull Reinforcements to stack caustic resistance to around 33%. GHRPs are the only Guardian modules (apart from the Nanite torp launcher) that are unaffected by the Anti-Guardian field. This is because the GHRPs lack an integrity rating. Also you need to come in fast in supercruise, if you drop normally you'll be too far out and meet an invisible wall at around 130km. If you fly in fast and allow your FSD to perform an emergency drop, you'll be inside this boundary. Note also that for some odd reason the Pulse Wave still triggers, so bring a Pulse Wave Neutralizer. Once you get close enough, your ship will be unable to overcome the pushback effect. This can be hard to notice without visual references outside your cockpit, but you'll be able to see you speed suddenly drop and reverse, before starting forward again if you keep applying thrust or boosting. It's most noticeable when you eject caustic sinks, which don't appear affected by this pushback, so they will overtake your ship.

I'm ppretty sure the invisible wall + pulse are bugs, as not everyone expperiences them and when I've had that happen the "Titan destruction imminent" message appears

I have been biting my tongue a long time on this but this morning I finally broke because you kept saying Leigong. Everyone is pronouncing it incorrectly. It's pronounced LAY gong, not LIE gong. It's named after the Chinese thunder duke. Would be nice if people could get it right at least once before it explodes.

I know many of you like this Titan mother ship killing stuff but for many of us it's getting a little "long in the tooth" as they say, and we haven't even finished off two of them yet. Maybe when the new ship is released and if it offers something new I'll pick it back up. But for right now, I did my bit "For God and Country" and it's starting to feel a little old so I'm out, not worth the agro/rebuys for just a ship skin and far less credits than I can get for one assassination job. But hey, if it's your thing carry on Commanders 07.
