As a martial artist for over 55 years it saddens me to see that the so called martial arts teachers have lied to this man into thinking he can defend himself against any attackers of any kind. I hope that this young man does this for staying in shape and not to defend himself with.

On one hand, it was sad, and funny to see. The way he was bouncing around, reminded me of a child's toy. With that being said though, I admire his courage and his determination in not succumbing or becoming victim to the limitations of his disability. For that I completely admire him.

Something that you need to keep in mind about Bruce Lee is that he never trained to compete, but for life or death self defense. Many MMA champions, who say Lee was their idol, claim that in a life or death no rules match, Lee could beat any fighter today. Their own words.

I'm disabled too (in a wheelchair) and this is hilarious. I feel like it's creating a false reality for that guy. I laughed way longer than I should have. I'm not trying to be mean, just FYI, but you do have to live within reality and your capabilities. Because living in a fantasy is the most harmful thing you can do.

Except every single modern MMA champion. Bruce in a lot of ways was a progenitor for what would come, but he by far isn't in a league of his own.

I think Bruce Lee would have given any MMA fighter a run for their money. He actually helped develop MMA before it was ever called that. His philosophy was to be adaptable. He is famous for the making the statement, "Be like water making its way through cracks." He was one of the fastest fighters that ever lived.

He was also fast enough to avoid getting grappled or taken to the ground. Aside from that, if Bruce Lee was alive and young today, I'm quite sure he would be well versed on today's martial arts.

Bruce Lee’s ju jitsu skills were just as phenomenal as his stand up game. In the opening scenes of Enter the Dragon Bruce is shown in a ring and put that bigger dude in black in a Kimora. This is a more technical move than say....rear naked choke.

Yes but honestly I think they crossed the line this time. I'm a little bit disappointed with their attitude, HOWEVER the attitude of the boy practicing martial arts was amazing, way better than many kids that doesn't take it seriously. AND if he was attacked by a dog or a cat for example, with those spins and kicks he certainly could defend himself.

I guess he’s using all he can, I give him massive credit for training a lot of people would just give up. I can’t imagine being in his position, I’m guessing he was born this way. As a person who has done weights and Martial arts for the last 25 years both Kungfu and Karate, I give this man credit. Bruce Lee was a pioneer of mixed martial arts. He was the first to advocate for mixing styles, keeping what worked and tossing out what doesn’t. And he did have a decent ground game. He wasn’t just a striker.

I taught karate to disabled people ages 5 to adult, for over 10 years. They were both physically and mentally challenged. All were respectful and enthusiastic students learning to the best of their abilities. It was humbling for me as an able bodied person. Keep that in mind the next time you wake up and just take walking for granted.

Yes I understand that, but there's a difference between teaching and enabling dangerously delusional behavior. These disabled people you taught, did you get paid to teach them? How many of your disabled students could legitimately use what you were paid to teach them (unlike the poor fellow in the video) to actually defend themselves from an aggressor. In an actual life or death scenario, the false sense of ability this disabled man has, will result in his death against an aggressor who wont feign injury and fall down.

Arm Bars are basic Judo techniques, which has been around since 1882. Bruce Lee could arguably be cited as the father of MMA, his own style 'Jeet Kune Do' being a mix of a number of other styles.

Bruce Lee was an avid grappler who trained Catch Restling with Gene Labelle, he was doing takedowns on students in sparring back in the day. Dana White refers to him as the Father of MMA. If you took Bruce in his prime and gave him a few months to train, id bet he would do really well in UFC.

@@dannygjk He picked up things quickly due to a photographic memory i'm sure, I've read nothing about this but it's my thoughts because I myself pick up on things probably as quickly as he did and I have a highly active photographic memory. I can hold my own against many walks of the arts and have only had training in Fudoshin Jiu Jitsu for 2 years when i was 14-16, would've continued but I got bored with it as I wasn't learning at a fast enough pace to suit my desires.

Bruce Lee was a great martial artist..both mind and body..he was very well spoken intellectual as well as physically strong.. today's fighters are strong but when they speak every other word comes out of their mouths is the "f" word. I'm sure the martial arts establishment doesn't take it too seriously, the dang girls were falling after being touched by his foot for goodness sake. Bruce Lee who was a streetfighter in China. A member of The Pretty Boys gang . He took up Wing Chun to learn how to defeat a member of a rival gang. He empathized self defense and streetfighter techniques for survival as opposed to traditional martial arts.
