Just want to add, Stray Kids produce and wrote 99% of their songs. They debuted 2 years ago, very young but insanely talented. Different from normal Kpop boy group, they are formed by Chan (leader, Australian) not the company. They can all pretty much dance, rap and sing, (if you get into members a bit more, you will see them switch roles quite frequently). But in general, they are divided into 3 units 3Racha (producer + rap unit): They also have their own unit songs which are also lit (e.g, Matryoshka, Zone) DanceRacha (dance unit) and VocalRacha (vocal unit) Used to be 9 members (3 per unit) but 1 member left, so 8 members now

@@kaycicaldy7190 No, Chan formed the group, he chose the members. The idea of the survival show was Chan formed the group and the group has to go through JYP's approval to debut. Recently, Chan also did an interview with Abema interview where he explained the reason why he chose each member

In Stray Kids there are 8 members, they were 9 but one left the band because of personal things.

they just completed two years of debut, but have been active since 2017 (they participated in a reality show) so yes, they are very young and very very innovative. SKZ is known for being "an experimental group" of JYP Entertainment, for its versatility and when they debuted they were dubbed "The Rookie Monster of 2018", they produce and compose their own songs and help with choreography too, Chan (the leader) was who chose the members of the group, so JYP had nothing to do with the creation of the group, the only thing it does (and does badly), basically, is the disclosure/advertising part, these things. I am happy that you are enjoying them, they achieved so much in a short time, I hope you continue to follow closely. They debuted at 9, but Woojin left the group at the end of last year. And between us, they are very good, they are from the 4th generation of kpop and have the nickname "leaders of the fourth generation", I agree, but I am suspicious to talk about it

KPop is also divided into 4 "Generations", which are about 6 or 7 years long (decided a bit randomly/arbitrarily based on industry breakthroughs or music & fashion styles/trends etc.) 1st - pre 2004, 2nd - 2004 to 2012, 3rd - 2012 to 2018, 4th - 2018 to present. All groups fall into a generation based on their debut year. So Stray Kids are 4th Gen (2018 debut), then BTS (2013) and Blackpink (2016) are in the 3rd Gen. Although success/popularity isn't a given just because a group is older, they do have more time to hone their skills, build a fanbase and find their group's best concept/style. Some groups gain fans in a slow and steady way (more like SKZ with their non-traditional Kpop style) and others have huge bursts into the spotlight. Yet for BTS it wasn't until 2/3 years after debut that they gained immense popularity and became worldwide famous! In terms of competition: younger/newer groups tend to respect older ones (age - respect, being a big aspect of Korean culture) and they admire their talents the same way we as fans do (often stating XYZ is a reason why they too wanted to become a KPop idol). Most idols give praise to other groups while being humble about their own skills and need to improve for their fans.

In the past before BTS & BIG HIT Entertainment there were big3 : JYP : Twice, Got7, Itzy, Day6, STRAY KIDS YG : Black Pink, ikon, Winner, treasure SM : Exo, Red Velvet, NCT.. (I didn't mention 2nd generation kpop even though I know & love them because most of them aren't that active) PS : us kpoppers wish there would be collabs between kpop groups from different companies instead of collabs with western artists but... :/

They ocasionally do :) Jimin and Taemin (Shinee, superm) had a sort of dance collab once. NCT Dream and Stray kids did the love shot cover together, NuEst and ACE (or was it somebody else I don't know for sure) did a song performance together. JYP and SM even "trades" trainees (for example Woojin used to be a SM trainee and was a possible nct member before he debuted with stray kids). So it does happen but sadly not really or for official releases :(

I was beyond excited to see our boys and the powerful visuals along with the deep lyrics gets me every time I listen to it. They never fail to impress their fans with outstanding performance and music with every song they’ve done. I know this isn’t their title track but it takes me back to some of their older tracks on top of the connection to their previous Clè albums ‘Miroh’ and ‘Yellow Wood’. 3RACHA remade a cover of their original song “Double Knot”. First, the thumbs down are simply people that dislikes the group, not your video. Fandoms are very unilateral sometimes. Stray Kids are very experimental with their beats, and self produced, with is quite rare in K-pop. Side effects and Maze of memories are masterpieces. Male groups from JYP tend to get overlooked and it's a pity. Really enjoy your reactions, if you could add Got7 to the list it'll be awesome. Love from Argentina!

collaborations between kpop groups are typically through cover performances at award shows and depend on the fan demographic and popularity level and less on the company they come from. for example, members of stray kids (they’re jyp as you know) have done multiple performances with members of nct (they’re a group under sm entertainment)

I just found your channel and I’m really enjoying your reactions. One place you can see collabs that cross entertainment company lines is the competition show Kingdom: Legendary war. It’s six groups competing against each other, so you’ll see Stray Kids, Ateez, BTOB (B to B), Ikon, SF9, and The Boyz. They’re all incredible, and in one episode you’ll see them divided into two teams of three groups each. about kpop artists collaborating, they actually do do collabs between companies, but it’s more rare than collabs between artists inside the same company. because stray kids is JYP entertainment, they hang out a lot with groups like twice and got7, whereas sm could have nct , red velvet, and exo together (those are all groups under jyp/sm respectively).

I love SKZ but if you guys are impressed with 9 people, there's a group of Kpop called Seventeen, they have 13 integrants in the group, and they are amazing, they have an amazing synchrony, and the three big companies of Kpop in Korea are SM entertainment, JYP ent. and YG ent.

Lee Minho (aka Lee Know) the lead dancer from Stray Kids was actually a BTS background dancer for a Japanese tour of theirs, before he joined JYPE. They're all freakin' talented. If you want to get to know them better, check out the videos from Hyunjin Nation channel and Closer To The Edge channel, these will hopefully give you a better idea if who Stray Kids are. Also check out Han's solo track "I Got It" and Changbin's solo track "Cypher", they spit straight 🔥 🔥 🔥!! All of the songs follow a theme/storyline, so it's so worth it to go through and watch all their MV's from start to finish. There are little easter eggs in every MV for previous videos, as well as future videos. One last thing, if you can find the time, watch the survival show they came from. It really gives you a good overall view of how freakin' talented they truly are! They work so hard, and it shows 1000%.

They have 2 songs Miroh and Mirror. I love them both but Mirror is amazing. Stray Kids are new and young (Debut date was 2018) They are all 22 or less. They are self producing. Again this is part of the reasons why I Stan them.
