Alicia, you weren't kidding when you mentioned that the canary melon was so juicy...the slurping sounds coming from the twins was hysterical, and they enjoyed every last drop of that melon juice (even from their bibs) - LOL! I'll definitely have to look for a canary melon the next time I go grocery shopping. The twins' love for all things "tiny" and "babylike" is so endearing and quite adorable! I think it's great that you go with the flow and serve breakfast when the girls finally get around to being hungry. It's certainly a luxury for a stay-at-home Mom not to feel rushed to get the children off to daycare at this age, and what fun and laughs you can all enjoy together over a leisurely breakfast. No wonder the girls are always in such a good mood first thing in the morning, and it's lovely to see! Enjoy another day of play and the unexpected adventures that await!!! 🥰💜😘💗😎🌞😎

They don't know they're not supposed to like fruit and vegetables. No one has poisoned their minds agains them. They seem up to try anything at least once. Since Mom doesn't fuss with them. She takes her time and later might persuade them to just taste it or "bribe" them by telling them they can have more of what they want, if they take a bite of the rejected item. There are things they don't like, but that's shows growing independence.

We have big farms out here in Ca that grow mostly melons, many kinds including Canary melon, Santa Clause melon, Hami melons, plus all the regular kinds. Most are yellow or orange inside, some rounder and some more football shape. They're all good.

At this age they are just learning about “obeying” and parents should not be too strict with it or it will have the opposite effect, making them feel angry and defiant. They don’t quite understand why they can’t do whatever they want. As they get older and it is explained, they understand. Discipline is important but it must be appropriate to their age. Alicia and Walt seem to have a real feeling for what is appropriate. All children should be so lucky.
