Today I had a corncob as well and I was smiling so much when I saw the meal of the two little ladies. Had to stop eating because they made me laugh all the time. 😂🤣By the way, I recognised how Anastasia is shaking her head "No, no" everytime when you or Daddy calls them Babies. 😂 I guess she doesn't like it. 😉 Guinevere was so fokused on the cob, she would have crowled all over the counter to get it. 😋 Thank you again Alicia for sharing these wonderful family moments. I am teaching them to sign. I helps open communication and prevents frustration on both sides. Most children comprehend much sooner than they are able to verbalize what they want or need and by teaching them to sign they can now tell me if they want water, milk, more, or if they want to eat, or are all done. I've also taught them please and cheese and plan on continuing to teach them even after they are talking because I think it is a great skill to have😊💖💖

This reminds me of when my daughter was their age. I used to give her corn on the cob, but i would cut it into smaller sizes so that she could hold it. She absolutely loved it and it certainly helped when she was teething. The funny thing is, daughter absolutely hates the taste of it now, just like peas, but I have photos of her in her highchair actually eating both..lol

When my babies were little we were told to cut a slit down the whole length of the cob in the middle of the row of kernels. They could then gum or chomp the cob and easily get the juicy part out but leave the tougher kernel covering on the cob if desired. Gwen might have figured the cob out if given enough time to experiment. So cute

The toddlers in our family LOVE corn on the cob, which is great if they are teething. We do cut the cobs smaller, almost like a cookie, which they can hold in their hands easier and eat on the sides. Along with being bibliophiles we are also logophiles and love the meaning of words. Love that Gwenevere in Welsh means fair one. And Annastacia in the Greek always reminds me of a Phoenix who is reborn. Jersey corn is said to be so sweet because it's the Silver Queen variety which was developed to slow down the conversion of sugar to starch during the growing season, so that the sugar turns into starch after it is harvested.

It’s the type of corn that’s planted. We plant corn that’s called Gotta Have It. And it is super sweet. You can also add sugar to the water you cook your corn in to help with not so sweet corn. They were a hoot today. Keep giving them the cob. They will figure it out momma. Good job momma.

In the beginning Anastasia was the one that dove right in and ate everything and Guinevere was the not trusting one. Around 11 months they seemed to switch and by 13 months Guinevere was shoveling everything into her mouth and Anastasia was investigating all her food😆 They do eat well though, just at different paces😆💗💗

Anastasia really liked that Jersey corn on the cob. Guinevere seemed to like it but waited to see what mommy was doing. Once she saw you trimmed the corn off the cob , she came out of her chair!! In Chilliwack, BC, we buy peaches and cream sweet corn. The season is always too short. I love corn on the cob. My mom has always cut hers off the cob and then when my brother had his teeth extracted he did the same. I have dentures, but I have never cut it off the cob😋

Hilarious! My oldest son loved to chew on "empty" cobs when he was teething -- he was about 17 months of age then. Same with "empty" watermelon rind. 🙂

No they have perfect hearing😊 I teach them sign language because they, as with most babies, are able to comprehend everything I'm saying but can't verbally speak yet. They have been able to understand me since they were about 6-7 months old. Once I began signing to them it was only a matter of time before they were able to sign back. It prevents a lot of frustration on both sides because now they are able to sign eat, water, milk, more, and all done among other words. So instead of them wanting milk and not knowing how to say it and crying because I don't know what they want and they only know crying gets them things now they can simply sign and I don't have to try to guess😅 Also twins sometimes speak later than single babies because they develop their own language between each other that only they know😆💖💖

Bravo for the corn on the cob choice! They LOVE the corn! Both wanted the cob but agree that cutting it off the cob was also a good idea. Here in NC we have Silver Queen corn which is also so sweet and good! They were sooooo expressive and talkative and funny! God bless you all this 4th of July! And thanks for another uplifting video!
