Before I comment on GUY, you guys oughta give a listen to Johnny Kemp singing the dance banger JUST GOT PAID, from the 80's. Guy is an American hip hop R&B and soul group founded in 1987. This is a real cool song. Guy was the first group to sport the new jack swing sound which is traditional soul vocals melded to hip hop beats.

One of the dopest groups ever. Teddy Riley musical genius, Aaron Hall's vocals, nobody sounds like that man then or now. Teddy didn't call his sound New Jack Swing till later, but didnt matter, Guy's sound was different from anyone back then. Aaron Hall's voice is so legendary.
