I like that you are real about home hair styling. Because one of my biggest failures was believing people on KZbin that their hair dried in a course of hours or over night. Disclaimer: All hair is not made equal. When I came yo my hair, wet styling would take DAYS to dry even if I sat under a hooded dryer, even if I used a blow dryer. Unless the hair was free, it took days. If my hair was in some type of roller set it NEVER came out how the videos showed. That's why for a time I purposely looked for "fail" videos to learn real lessons. This is when my techniques started to improve. It took my styling level from 3 to 89%. 3 day drying, for those who struggle with dry times, is the REALIST!!! Much ❤ from Detroit.

leeluv96 I think part of it is people not taking into account the porosity. I have low porosity which takes longer to dry. So while my hair looks like Naptural85 it takes much longer to dry than hers. Some people think the hair typing system is everything and just because someone’s hair looks the same it will be have the same. Nope. What I do is sit under the dryer on low heat for 20 minutes just to get the drying process jump started then go to bed. If I do this then I can get my hair to dry overnight. Straight air dry would take at least 24 hours or more with nothing covering my hair.

I think this beautiful. We need more people to show others how to manage your hair type. All hair is beautiful and people fail to realize that everyone has a different texture, curls, and thickness and it takes different steps to take care of it. well for rods, if you have work, I would suggest just sitting under the dryer. I dont go out when I wear rods and if I do, I wear a thick scarf where they won't poke out
