Good job on the tutorial. Just for reference, those are straight pins. Safety pins are the ones that close up, hence the Safety part. Terminology is important in teaching.

I use a vintage Singer sewing machine. It doesn't have a zigzag stitch, is straight okay?
@kaysigmund67865 жыл бұрын
So when you sewed the ends together did you first sew the ends of 4 & 1 with a straight stich. Then 2 & 3 together? I kind of lost that part. The safety pins threw me off and something else in that part. Great video. Best one I have seen yet. I want to make these for daughter in law for her birthday tomorrow. I already have fabric. Just want to make sure it's enough.

In case you didnt figure it out, she had sewn the pieces just before (with a straight stitch) and then opened them to expose the seam (in an M shape) then she straight stitched the previously sewn bits together, down the seam. I think I explained that correctly.

Nancy Baker when you measure the head why do you subtract an inch? Thank you!
@amygeorgopoulos14005 жыл бұрын
@@MsYayia If you don't subtract an inch, then the headband will *just* fit around the head but won't actually cling to the head. Subtracting a head makes it so that the headband has to stretch over the head and cling to the head. I hope that makes sense!

You indicate the fabric should be 16" - do we adjust if the head is smaller/
@noemisalamante31153 жыл бұрын
That 16" is for a baby's head. You really need to get the head circumference first as basis.
