I can’t remember the finished size of these bows, but I would measure the finished bow then make the tails around an inch and a half longer, so you have 3/4” overlap each side.

Brilliant tutorial could I ask what size you would cut for ribbon that is 50cm wide and 38cm wide. Many thanks

The tutorial is already showing 4cm wide ribbon, that’s basically the same as 38mm, the 2mm don’t make a difference, so still 60cm in length. For 50cm, cut a length of 75mm. And for 3” wide ribbon, 112cm in length. When you pin the tails on each of these, just pin the same to match the ribbon width, so for example, in this tutorial I used 4cm wide ribbon, so I pinned the tail guide at 4cm.

No. The narrower the ribbon the less length you need. So I’d try removing around 5-7cm.
