In all honesty twisted metal ps3 was my first introduction and warthog is my favorite I never unlocked him but for some reason I have this obsession with this type of vehicle it is a car on a tank either iv never seen anything like that before or it's just awesome give me ur thoughts on my comment

The car looks cool but I didn't like the specials it came with. In Twisted Metal Black it was a flamethrower. It's just a heavyweight Thumper in that game. The special was terrible to use in single player. I spent most of my time with five specials because of how hard it was to use. It got buffed in the online version to the point using that special was banned. Did you know Thumper was gonna be in Twisted Metal Black? Twisted Metal PS3 was not very creative when it comes to specials. There were some cars that had the same specials. Warthog was one of them. It's like a heavyweight Axel. They both have similar specials. Warthog is the better car because of it's big health and ram damage. It can jump high but not as high as Axel. I'll always like the old Humvee Warthog better. The design of Warthog was inspired by Twisted Metal 4. The car on the top is The Joneses. The tank on the bottom is Warthog's wheels from Twisted Metal 4 put together.

I get what you mean, I have never even played the PS3 one yet (mainly because I never had a PS3, still got a copy of the game with me in the off chance I ever obtain one somehow) but seeing how outrageously ridiculous the concept of Warthog was definitely got me sold on it, and since then I've always wanted to see how a car on a tank vehicle would turn out in the real world lol.

Everybody uses the rockets because of how cheap it is. There's no reason to use the others.

I'm still of the opinion that having Warthog as the unlockable car for getting gold on everything in Twisted Difficulty wasn't a good call. Should have been some ridiculous bonus car like Minion or something.

Doubly so as it can appear as a regular ai opponent, so it's not even like a boss vehicle. Should've made it a minified brother Grimm monster truck or hammerhead.

I doubt he will. He has stated in the past that he doesn't like the story mode in this game.

I know it’s probably too late but I got all of the gold medals on twisted difficulty without using talon or juggernaut, except in one level which is the endurance match in Watkyn’s harbor. Other Than that you can check my channel. The videos are recorded with my phone because I have no other way to record, though.

i don’t like the special for warthog because of the weakness he has on the bottom of his the car the flamethrower from twisted metal black or the missile from the old twisted metal games are better for warthog

I disagree. I think that because warthog is quite literally a station wagon atop tank treads this special is completely fitting for this vehicle's unique design. Think about it: what do tanks do? They trample terrain through their massive treads. The reason they added the weak point to the bottom is to balance the special move, so as to not make warthog an axel clone with more health, less speed, and more ramming power. If you activate your special as this character, you can deal out massive amounts of damage through the crush ability. However, you are also risking taking more damage due to the weak point. Great design on the dev's part.

@@gavinbudney2791 true but flamethrower and patriotic missile don’t give warthog a weak spot true the crushing special on warthog is good at all but too risky if you don’t get hit plenty of time like reapers flaming chainsaw or roadkills special because it’s too powerful to decimate warthog badly

@@sgtbriantheyoshi225 I think that the missiles for the humvee version of warthog we're very fitting for that vehicle. However, the flamethrower from twisted metal black was not very good in my personally opinion. While it definitely was cool, it's utility was very lackluster. Its range was terrible and it was useless against moving opponents. Paired with the fact that warthog is very slow, it felt very unrewarding finally using your flamethrower after catching up to a fast car just for it to be rendered useless by a few quick movements. I'm not saying this version of warthog isn't flawed, the weak point is annoying sometimes, and I have on many occasions while playing reaper one shotted a warthog with one flame saw. However, warthog doesn't necessarily need to use his special against someone like reaper. A ram and a shotgun, as shown earlier in the playthrough, is all you really need to wipe a reaper or a crimson. All in all, I think this version of warthog is solid, and will remain my favorite iteration of the vehicle.

Beat every stage on Twisted in the story mode. Evey stage needs to be beaten fast to get a gold medal on all of them.
