@@jem9865 I'm 52 in March, not gen Z . Im gen X. You dont seem to understand the concept of "underrated". Anyone can point to devoted fan bases of an artist. What is meant by underrated is th a t Dee us generally not included on most well-known lists of great singers of Hard Rock/ Metal. Mis5 people only judge him by their 2 biggest hits. The Pruce shows his depth asca singer. I'm used to contrarians on here. Not going to argue. The point is he's a great vocalist. Let it go

And the second most irritating comment is"underrated" I see Red everytime with that comment. Try To realise that almost all these songs are respected like a hell!!!!!!!!!

@@AnttiHuttunen-l3y ..As if complaining about people saying things are underrated isn't also said over and over in music comment sections on You tube.🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy the music, stop with the " measuring dick size" attitude. It's not a competition as to who's the truest fan. It's not a poser hunt. So silly. Go play your video games and stop bullying people behind a keyboard. I'll be 52 in March. I grew up with these bands. Unfortunately Its a sad truth now that some of the biggest jerks on KZbin comment sections are now hard Rock/ Metal fans like you. Here I am complimenting Dee on his vocals , something back then wasn't said much about him, and you go off on me. All I was saying is he deserves more credit then he got. But your choice is to spend the little time you and all of us have on Earth to be a jerk towards me. SAD. You earned a cookie.🤪

This song inspires me to give up my addiction to cocaine. In the end its all a choice. I ultimately have to "lose" to win in the end because it's my life. Pray for me and I hope anyone who struggles with any kind of mental, addictive/ alcoholic, spiritual quarrels seeks help and find the motivation within themselves to get back to normal. Again, everything is a choice. Edit: as of June 27 2020 I now have 40 days clean off of everything. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Jan 2021 8 months clean. Even gave up nicotine

I lost my father at the start of this year, just 2 days before my birthday. It broke my fucking heart. My father was always a huge twisted sister fan, collected vinyls had many band tees and various other items TS related. The day of my fathers funeral was difficult, but when everyone walked into the funeral, Twisted sister - the price was playing over the speakers as requested by other family members. every time i hear this song, it brings so many tears to my eyes and so many memories and for that i just want to thank dee and twisted sister. Was like 14 and he gave me the time to ask questions..And he played for like 15-30 minutes just jamming alone with a huge smile that never faded away.. He was smiles all around and treated every single person with a handshake and let us ask whatever questions we had...I'm now 58 and still drum..Thank you Sir for being so kind to us all in that little drum shop in Wheatridge, Co. I'll never forget that huge smile, oh, and he had his big sticks with him..Or Ronnie K. owner gave him a pair, either way I remember those sticks too. He was a solid powerful rock n roll drummer and kind hearted loving man...RIP Sir, can't wait to see you on the other side..

I remember buying their Stay Hungry cassette from Wherehouse Music back in 1985. I would rewind and listen to this song over and over sometimes and it never got old. 32 years later here on KZbin I just listened to this song 3 times in a row and it sounded just as awesome to me as it did 32 years ago. Damn good song ! Dee Snider could really sing his ass off.

April 8 2018 I didnt know just how sick I was untill I woke up 4 days later in the hospital hooked up to almost all machine they had to keep me alive. I was told I died twice the night they brought me in and that I would not make it through the night. My family was their as started to get ready for me to pass on. I understand know just how delicate life really is. This song the Price was one of a few that were going to be played at my services. This song has so much more meaning than people dont yet understand untill the same thing happens to them. All I can say is hold on to your loved ones like theirs no tomorrow because you never know when your tomorrow might not come at all. Im still here by Gods good Grace. That you Dee Snider. your are the BEST.. A true fan of your music Patricia Kipfer Of Duncan Oklahoma Love you Buddy keep up with all the great music

I love 80's music, it's got so much heart and soul. Today's music sucks because it's so fake and just about swag and ghetto bullshit. Or it's wimpy whiny music. Point is, fuck today's music, long live the 80's. (Btw I'm not an old coot, I'm actually in my early 20's and I just love the 80's. It's just so magical and everything was so awesome. :) )

Same can be said about Hip Hop in the 80s compared to now. It was fun and had soul. Public Enemy was amazing. Too bad real Rock N Roll and Hip Hop had to die in the 90s :'(

Klymahnn I DO listen to today's music. Some of my favorite bands like metallica, megadeth, slayer, anthrax, black Sabbath, slipknot, marilyn manson, and others STILL MAKE music today. so I do listen to music from today. But old music is the BEST

How long I have wanted This dream to come true And as it approaches I can't believe I'm through I've tried, Oh, how I've tried For a life, yes a life I thought I knew Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Time seems to have frozen But the mind can be fooled As the days pass I discover Destiny just can't be ruled Hard times, Oh hard times, For the prize, yes the prize, I thought I knew Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done

Absolutely still gives me goosebumps and takes me right back to listening to it on cassette back in the 80s. What a classic that still holds up great in 2024.
