I don't think I have enjoyed watching a video in a long time as much as I have enjoyed this one. All the videos of lately showing carbon bikes just doesn't excite me as much as seeing show bikes like these. Thank you very much for bring this video to your viewers. 👍

Something strange has happened. After twenty years of cycling I no longer find myself salivating over the latest carbon race bike and instead bikes like those in the video set my pulse racing. Is it an age thing when metal bikes you've shunned as 'old fashioned' for two decades suddenly become objects of desire? All my carbon bikes have gone and I now have a Mason Definition 2 aluminium one, which I love.

Returned to watch this video again because I just love these bikes. I got to thinking as I watched the Strudy Cycles Ti bike and about the amount of work that would be involved in the making of that bike. As you know Colnago introduced it's C68 since you posted this video and the asking price for that bike baffles me. The C68 starting price is over $16,000. How can anyone with half a brain, I'm saying any intelligence at all, purchase that bike for that amount of money. The price of the Sturdy bike IMO would be far above that of the C68 if labor was factored equally if you catch my meaning. The Sturdy bike is by far superior to any Colnago.

Hey Charles, funny that you mentioned, but my next video will be about Colnago C64 haha. I bought the frame used, so it was much cheaper than the new c68 and Sturdy. But I agree, I’d personally prefer Sturdy to any other bike at the same price tag. Hopefully, I will own his frameset one day. May be even before the end of this year 🤞🏼😉

@@TwistedWheels What does he do to get that textured, 'wrinkle paint' finish on the titanium?? Is that just the unfinished 'printed' texture?? I am waiting for a printed titanium (or scandium, magnesium and aluminum alloy, like Ganna's speed machine) aero tube/aero road bike as an alternate to all of the crunchy plastic stuff out there currently. 😉

Used to be a cyclist, and now a motorcyclist.. I thought motorcycles were expensive, but damn bycicles are way more costly.

They ARE exorbitant at this point. But, these at least have some real justification for their co$t$, with all of the intricate, hand made, detailed, or printed components on them, as well as their paint/finishes. The real insanity is all of the off the shelf crunchy carbon rides out there with shoddy garbage, NO QC at all, China made layups, no fit/loose 'press fit' bottom brackets, creaking, misaligned disc brake mounts, etc., crap which the manufacturers are asking just as much for as these hand (or printed) custom built to the customers' sizing, 'bespoke'/personalized aesthetics and finishes, etc. premium rides. 😉 But yeah, the current crotch rockets do seem like bargains nowadays as compared to 'luxury' pedal bikes.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
