Was waiting alll week for this, reed if you see this I have made a intercepting probe, it is much stronger now, with 3 layers of 8mm aluminum, 27 layers of flex tape, 4 layers of Kevlar infused tape, and an anemometer with a camera mount for it. If you are interested there’s a un-updated video on my channel and explaining it, I will soon make a new video about the changes on it, also I fly video drones so I could get better footage of storms (compared to my phone). What an episode 😮 The 26th - 30th April 2024 outbreak was intense. Just 4 and 3 days before the Westmoreland tornado we'd had the EF4 in Elkhorn, Nebraska and the EF4 in Marietta, Oklahoma too. The footage that you got right under the twisting funnel of the Westmoreland tornado was incredible. NSC

I will also NEVER forget watching this tornado chase live. That horizontal monster writhing above the chase team was unbelievable. The myriad shapes that tornado took on was insane. Remembering those impacted was gut wrenching.

That was intense! After being a storm spotter since I was 16 (more than 30 years ago), the Westmoreland tornado was the first one I've ever seen. I didn't have the pleasure of seeing it up close and personal like that. For me, it was off in the distance, but I did get a very good view of it. This footage is golden! When you are stuck in a ditch like in the video, the best way to be recovered (in this scenario) you should turn your wheels INTO the ditch - put the truck in reverse - moderate throttle - and have some pull you back wards. Your tires will climb you out of the ditch better than trying to go forwards. Watch any of MattsOffroadEecovery you’ll see the same thing!! Awesome video guys

Those power lines around that house made me so anxious. Been electrocuted before from a downed power line, it's not fun. I hope the editing left out you guys checking things first. And remember, just because the area doesn't look charged, doesn't mean it isn't. I was shocked over 50ft away from a downed line just from having my feet spread apart when I stepped into the hot zone.

That sidewinder funnel was the strangest tornado I had ever seen. There are pictures of tornadoes like that in old post card photos of the late 1800s into the early 1900s.

This is one I will never forget. I remember thinking, "Wow, Edgar must be laying on the ground bc that is an insane view, that funnel looks tall as crap!" I recall watching this on livestream. It was something that got me on edge of seat, because I didn't think that funnel cloud can actually turn into tornado, it looked like it was just going to dissipate. Instead it turned into one of most spectacular tornadoes I've seen on this channel so far. Well, except 2013 season. That was something different.

I for one enjoy watching you all chase these storms. On another note you have taught me what to look out for in clouds. I travel from Az to Mn a lot.
