Growing up i often wondered why my hair wouldn't grow the way my friend with straight hair would. Little did we know, all we had to do was, stop relaxing our hair and let it grow out naturally. We have beautiful hair. Now my hair is long and i love it. But not as long as yours. So now i am going to do exactly what you're doing cause girl, you're obviously doing the right thing. Now that's a beautiful head of hair.

I had SUPER long hair when I was little when my Ma used to relax my hair. It was a lot about the haircare and styling she did in-between. Our hair can grow. We just have to handle it with a little more care.

I'm glad to see an influencer use the Melanin hair care product. Her hair tutorial are awesome. And so is yours 😉. Actually, I just made her homemade Shea butter cream. My hair is in love and I do not think I will be buying another store brand cream. Especially since two strand twists has now become my style of choice to retain moisture. It lasts me a good week and my hair loves it.

I just kept learning, and praying, until I had my own epiphany. Hair is DNA you are the ONLY one with your hair characteristics. So trial and error is your friend. I can't even part my hair! I have to use my fingers and can't comb or brush unless I want breakage. I'm trying to make videos to represent for the delicate haired folks like me. It's not my fault it's naturally weak. I just had to wake up and become aware and change how I treat it to see some health.

This was like watching my own hair routine except I do braids 😂😂. After my first big chop I realized that my hair does not like being out. Doing twist outs and braid outs consistently just dries my hair and makes it tangled af. Also I wear hijab so having a fro everyday was just not realistic. 3 years ago I big chopped my hair for the second time and have been doing these mini braids ever since. Because of this my hair grows consistently 6-7 inches a year. It’s currently passing armpit length and I couldn’t be happier with my overall health and growth ❤️❤️

Sis I want to give you a virtual hug! I am currently combing out my 3 1/2 year old dreadlocks from a big chop. Combing them out I realized my hair is down to my waist! And I realized that the only reason why is because I was too lazy to keep manipulating it and I rarely retwisted it. I wanted to keep my hair healthy and keep it continually growing, but I didn't know how to w/o damaging it again, plus I was scared cuz my schedule is so busy. So when I saw how simple, easy, and durable this was sis i nearly cried. Ong imma do this! Thank you!

Two strand twists styles are the best sadly I haven’t been able to afford them and I am chronically ill just had major gallbladder surgery. So when I try to twist my hair I can get the end base right but my roots are never tight. Once I’m done recovering and Rona is dead. I’m definitely getting these cot Havana braids. Which is a good twist protective braiding style. Thanks for the video though you got a new fan.

MINI TWISTS GROW YOUR HAIR! I been doing them for a year...and I have had more growth this past year then I have EVER had. I leave mine in 4-6 weeks...wear loose for a few days...and either redo...or do my other favorite style, knotless boxbraids...if you are someone trying to rapidly grow your hair this is the style.

@@cherylcarstarphen948 I am assuming all hair left alone in a long term protective style will grow. My hair is super dense/coarse/thick...and because my hair wasnt being manipulated daily i feel like it made my hair a lot thicker and also longer...i assume thinner hair types would have a similar experience.

How do you moisturize your hair

@@nah_. I mist my hair daily with aloe vera and apply a tab of shea butter to the very ends. I have thick/dense/coarse type 3c/4a hair that is high porosity so it loves shea butter...hope this helps. I have also used like rose hip oil/grapeseed oil/jojoba oil and aloe in the summer...

Having long hair definitly makes your hair grow more because your twist looks like a hairstyle. My twist gets the "oh. You didn't comb your hair today" look. 😂 That is the reality.

I wear twist most of the time too! But the only difference is that I wash my hair in twists and then just retwist them afterwards.

Jeissy fenandez You just leave your hair in twist and do a normal wash. Focus on your scalp. Then be sure to rinse it well. Then you get out of the shower and go through each twist, detangle and retwist it.
