Twitch Bots are Pulling Streamer's IP Addresses!

@@R.F.9847 i was just playing, it wont shut off the router forever unless they shut power off in your area which i dont think the bots can do, but getting fried would mean having extreme lag or your router just shutting off for a lil while

I imagine what they mean by "getting fried" is that the bot send thousands of access requests to your router which then leads to it overloading for a short amount of time. I am not 100% sure though, that is just my hypothesis

i need help, i accidently opened demimad's profile but they werent live streaming.. i also used google web twitch version- could they grab my ip because of that?

I visited one profile that followed me. I opened the profile with my Twitch app on my phone not on the browser can they take my ip from the app even. I have not had any internet issues and i opened the profile few days ago.

Yes they can get your ip from basically any device that is connected to internet

Probably not. If this video is right that it does it via the twitch extensions that can run while you’re streaming, then the mobile app doesn’t load these extensions. They also don’t load in many mobile web browsers
