That dude in the car was an utter cnut. People like that infuriate me. I loved it when you called him "young man". Keep posting video's, they are excellent. Even my wife is watching now.
@pedazodetorpedo10 жыл бұрын
No he wasn't at all, he was in the right. The biker was in the wrong lane, driving carelessly and inconsiderately, he got in the way of the car and then sped off in the wrong lane, he comes far too close to other vehicles and then wonders why they don't like it. He basically has no respect for any other road-user, making him the "cnut".
@ScentedCandles14a10 жыл бұрын
Le Ténia I would typically agree with your assessment but Baron is a lad and more to the point, on a motorbike he can very quickly and easily pull away and get in front of the car, so he isn't causing a blockage or getting in the way at all. I think the lanes in those sorts of areas are a fucking nightmare to begin with and if a biker has room to manoeuvre around and split the lanes to get in front of slow-moving cars then that's his prerogative. Plus, fuck pikeys.
@Neiljitsu10 жыл бұрын
It's different on bikes. Even if the baron was in the wrong,did he have to be so aggressive in his demeanour? If the driver finds out who his mother is, she'd be disappointed.
@ScentedCandles14a10 жыл бұрын
Baron doing what he did had no effect on that car. The only reason he was even next to Baron was because he ragged out off the line to try and 'give it a go'. If someone does something and it doesn't impede you or inconvenience you, then why do you care?
@Neiljitsu10 жыл бұрын
ScentedCandles14a the 'he' I was referring to was the driver of the car. On re reading maybe that was unclear. Just to clarify, I am pro baron and anti arsehole in car.
@TheSarcasticEngineer10 жыл бұрын
Christ, you pissed off a lot of motorists with this one. It amazes me how comfortable people will piss themselves off with just about anything- and claim they're concerned for your safety while doing so. If they wouldn't do it then you definitely shouldn't be. If people didn't have so much luxuries they wouldn't lose their mind because someone on a bike is filtering, they'd have bigger problems. But most of them don't have problems- or they might have the odd problem in an otherwise relaxed existence and so that they have no idea how to be passive with stress. Simple facts: Bikes are more fun. Bikes are less expensive. Bikes are just damn right quicker from A to B when you know how to cut through traffic. I also saw one comment saying bikes will die out because of a lower life expectancy of bikers. Shines through, just how narrow of a field of vision these people have. Living to be 85 is some sort of achievement now? So you can bask in the joy of your completed task while someone else wipes your arse for you because you can barely walk anymore. (y) Sounds bliss. You're not going to make it out of this life alive. And just because you see something as a massive risk, doesn't mean there aren't people who know how to negotiate those risks and do so all the time.

I was born in the same year as you, and I think similarly to you, and I think this "constant bombardment" and love/hate relationship for tech/social media etc, is because of our generation. We grew up playing marbles, toy cars, out on bikes with mates (or whatever you did, it wasn't internet/games machines like today's kids), but computers and the internet came as we were still in our younger years so could pick it up fairly easily. So we're conflicted, on one hand we love the modern tech and embrace it, but on the other we hate it because we spent most of our childhood without such a constant and deep association - human freedom of some kind which we now lose and are (quite literally) tied or forced to manage these things (we've almost enslaved ourselves to it). Yeah, passwords, 10 outlets to remember to log in to and check for messages, tweets, emails, etc. I wonder if humans in 50 years time will actually do anything other than update each other and check each others updates. Today's generations just take it as a given - that's what life is about to them. Hmm, I love tech, bit of a geek in some ways, but I also hate the "grip" it has on us all. All the best mate :)

I could not agree more with this, I really hate being available 24 hrs a day, we cannot escape anymore, I insist that my wife and I turn our mobiles off when going on holiday with the kids, but even then you feel like you're doing something really selfish and bad, like you're giving everyone the middle finger for the week or so, such a sad world we live in now I think, I miss the 80s man, when u could actually go out all day and not worry about if someone needed to call you, don't even think we had answer phones back then, those were the days.

I keep coming back just to listen to that end part; Love it. You definitely can talk the talk Baron! Have been riding for just over 9 years now (and also have a GSXR, but only a k4 600) and in cases where somebody cuts me up or nearly knocks me off I'm usually too angry to have a calm conversation with them; most of the time I just shake my head and carry on. Keep up the videos.

That is one of the pleasures of getting out on my bike, not for work but just following your front wheel to see where it takes you! Up here in Northumberland there are hundreds of miles of country roads with very little traffic, great for losing yourself for a couple of hours. I feel sorry for those who have no open country near to them to do the same.

I travel part of that route on my commute and noticed recently that the bus lane after Robin Hood lane, has a left turn just before you turn off the A3, and some muppets like to sit in the middle lane, then take the left without slowing down, so I now slow down/speed up there (as much as I can on my YBR..). Just a learners tip ;p

I hope one day to have half the confidence/experience you have. I'm not so much into the newer bikes (I ride a 1200N bandit 55plate K4) so the street scenes/filtering, idiotic road users and touring are most relevant esp when putting the world to rights! Thanks for all this, well done.

I fecking hate filtering. When we had the Brighton vlogger's meet a few weeks ago, on the way back I had to filter for almost 50 miles!! all the way from Brighton, up to the M25 and then all around the M25 till the M40 junction, was one great big traffic jam! It was the most tiring ride i've ever done. Filtering is just too much work for that length of road.
