Better use of airdropping: everyone on our choir trip started sending images to each other en masse. I hastily threw together a short story themed around a ghost sending spooky selfies from my phone, and put my plan into action, changing my name on my phone and sending out the images which told the story every few minutes or so. It was fun. One of the kids behind me on the bus figured out it was me only two messages in though

So I’m in the FFA and for those who don’t know, on the way to National convention we usually take a large bus with a few other schools/chapters. Anyway, the chapter in the back were SCREAMING and being super freaking annoying while the rest of us were trying to sleep so a bunch of people airdropped them stuff telling them to stfu and it actually worked lmao

fun fact: android devices have their own form of airdrop, its called "nearby share" you have to search for it in settings because its disable by default. because its disabled and the fact almost no one know about it, its pretty much useless. but also safe from these accidents if you tell your friends about it. its not cross platform btw.

Android has a similar, but significantly harder to use on accident feature. It's called Quick Share/Nearby Share and I don't believe the receiver can see the contents unless they accept the share request. That being said I almost accidentally quick shared a meme picture related to one of the anime's I watch. She listened to me when I told her to decline the request. Crisis averted.

Quick Share is actually only for Samsung devices. Android as a whole has a similar thing called Nearby Share. It's been around since Android 10 and works on all Android devices.

I went to a cafe with my friends once, and we all decided to airdrop everyone in there this one picture we took of a random smile thingy. So basically, everyone on their phones got that really weird photo airdropped to them by 4 separate people like 3 times. They all either didn’t receive it, or declined. It was very funny to look around at people on their phones and just see their expression change suddenly.
