Yeah for my rating on this episode I concur with FC. 2/10. Just didn’t do it for me, entire episode for another flashback with repeat scenes just cant happen in the penultimate episode. Only redeeming quality for me was seeing some real action from torborn and kelnacca.

I found this episode interesting. The show is neither terrible or great. In my opinion Leslye made two big mistakes. The first was listening to the fans, who have been bi.ching, whining and crying for years, that they did not want filler episodes. That they wanted to just get on with the story. Well she gave them just that. The story has been cut to the bare bone. Showing barely more then necessary to tell the story. Now they are complaining that they haven't connected to the characters or understand their motives. This is what filler does. Second mistake was in believing all SW fans are capable of understanding nuance and subtext. Most SW content is surface level with minimal subtext. As added insurance they put up big neon billboards pointing you were they are taking the story. Yes Torbin is a whinny padawan. That is nothing new. SW is full of whinny padawans. Yes he is board. He is collecting and annualizing grass samples. We only know what he tells us. He wants to go home. But we don't know why. Could be Torbin has had a bad feeling about this planet sense they landed there. If this is so, Master Indara's teaching style isn't conductive for him to express this. The Force has also taken an interest in this planet. Jedi are Force sensitive. This maybe having an underlying effect on each member. Do not forget Mother Aniseya mind meddled Torbin. Yes it was creepy. It was suppose to be. We get a look at how intrusive Jedi mind tricks can be. We learned from Yord that the Witches method stays with you and lingers. Leslye did not paint the Jedi as evil as you speculated. She painted them as flawed beings who can make mistakes. Lack of communication and assumption from all parties created a cluster ef all around. Yes you were treated to repeats of episode three. Good thing as you could not keep the details straight only 24 hours later. Nick was right Mother Aniseya appeared to die in the courtyard. Not sure how much damage a light saber can do to near mist/ smoke? Believe the energy from the saber disrupted whatever she was attempting to do. As no one steeped on her or tripped over her body. I believe, at some point during the fight she moved to where the other Witches were. Are the Witches dead? Not sure. Some of us believe that when Indara broke their connection to Kanaka, they passed out from the shock. Torbin is/was a traumatized adolescent with 16 years of brewing PTSD. He believes his actions resulted in the death of 50 adults and a child. Nor does he feel he has anyone he can discuss this with. Compounding the problem. We have yet to see everything that happened on Brendock.

Love your thoughts, honestly! We need more explanation from you to help us understand and navigate the muck and more they’ve vomited on the screen. Completely disagree that it is neither great nor terrible because obviously in our opinion it’s an abysmal mess that neither respects what came before or after for that matter. It is its own thing written for a “new group” of Star Wars fans and absolutely disrespectful at best to OG or prequel Star Wars fans that have loved the franchise, thought Jedi were something to aspire to from the beginning. The writing is so bad that we literally can’t even follow what’s happening on screen, let alone remember 24 hours later. Honestly your explanations should have been written into the show to help explain what’s going on because without those so called “filler episodes” they still can’t explain why things are happening or how. How did Mae not die when she fell? Why did Torbin want to go back to Coruscant so bad? We don’t need filler episodes to explain this, just a line or 2 or a little more depth in each character, not this surface level “I wanna go home” cause I’m a whiny Jedi thing. Indara is not a good master, and then she flip flops at the end instead of telling the council the truth. They are all terrible Jedi and as a viewer there is no one in the show to root for except maybe Qimir. He is the Acolyte and what the show should be about. Delete the crappy twin arc and kill all these Jedi because the Acolyte should be focusing on Qimir and why he is the way he is. Who is his master? He is a convincing character that is doing a great job amongst this embarrassing show. OSHA’s turning dark, Mae the confused evil one is turning good? Sol is a creep, Torbin is confusingly tormented, Indara may have killed all the witches accidentally and has all their blood on her hands, sol stabbed Anaseya thinking Mae was Osha? I thoughts stabs didn’t kill Star Wars women? The character motivations and script are horrendous, somehow everyone in this show is a confused flip/flopping person. It’s not a show meant for kids, it’s nowhere near intelligent enough for adults like Andor was. Andor develops the characters without filler and while it also has some story flaws, at least we can root for someone like a Luthen who does what he has to do for the rebellion and sacrifices everything to do so. That Luthen monologue is peak Star Wars script and acting. The Acolyte is for a small niche crowd and we are honestly glad you’re enjoying what you can out of it since you’re calling it Mid. We just can’t believe this is the latest and greatest Disney Star Wars has to offer for $170 million. There’s a legitimate reason for so much disdain against this and the other shows. We don’t hate here at Stay on target. We love Star Wars. But this isnt Star Wars, its Disney Star Wars and they are 2 completely different things. This does not create life-long passionate fans. Hence the horrible ratings. Thank you for hearing us out and putting up with our rants and raving. We appreciate your thoughts and opinions and think you are awesome.

Well I certainly got a reaction. Just want to remind you that Both Andor and the Mandalorian are Disney SW. Yes Andor had more character development, it had many more episodes to do so. And yes at times it was slower then Mosses wading in molasses in winter. Jedi are just people with flaws just like anyone else. They have their good and bad moments. So far she hasn't messed with the lore or cannon. This right here is way Fans would get nothing done if they ran SW. Too many people with the same love and care of the franchise, with the same level of knowledge of the EU, cannon and story lines see things from many points of view and would be at each others throats within hours. Good stories are not made by comity.

@user-bt9gf3oo8i Yeah, haven’t had as much time to respond to the comments, finally got to it! Very true Andor and Mando are under Disney Star Wars. S1&2 of Mando and most of Andor are well written and crafted. Somehow KK and the story group kept their paws mostly off those stories, but you can tell Mando S3 she/ the committees got involved and now Mando is second bananas in his own show. More and more nervous with Andor season 2 because now that S1 has been praised, they’re going to want to get their grubby little paws all over Season 2 and probably vomit the same trash on it. I hope that doesn’t happen but this is Disney Star Wars after all. Also true that the passion for Star Wars that makes the fans endlessly argue and talk about with these shows/ movies is what has kept Star Wars alive when there were no movies and shows. KK hates that fandom because she’s not a part of it. She has systematically destroyed each of the top characters and they continue to infuse their 2024 worldviews and beliefs into every corner of the Star Wars galaxy. She inherited the largest, most passionate fandom and has repeatedly trashed on them and the things they love. The sequels, almost all the D+ shows are making a mockery of the great lore and legends that came before. So of course this fandom isn’t going to quietly take it and just love everything unconditionally. When it’s good, or there are good parts we praise them(Mando S1, 2, Andor, Rogue one, tales of the Jedi S1, clone wars, rebels, some of the fighting in Acolyte) and when it’s bad and there are bad parts (sequel trilogy mess, Acolyte, Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, Mando S3, Bad Batch, parts of Ashoka, Tales of the Jedi season 2) we call those out. Gotta do it because we love it and want it to be better.

@@stayontarget There has been a toxic fan base in SW ever sense The revenge of the Sith came out. How it ruined their SW and what they loved about it. Most fans ignored them. Then the prequels came out. The vitriol that spewed forth from this toxic fan base was massive. Claiming they ruined their childhood. How dare they do this to their SW. This is not my SW. They bullied and hounded George and certain actors. Effecting them in negative ways.Ultimately this toxic fan base is why George sold the franchise to Disney. These toxic fans remind me of an abuser in a toxic relationship. "Look what you made me do. This is all your fault, you big fat, ugly , stupid cow. Why can't you just do what I tell you. This is why I have to beat you and say these things to you. It's your own fault". Now it is how dare Disney take George away from us. Disney ruined SW for me, They ruined my childhood. This is not how George would do it. "See what you made me do, you big, fat,ugly......". And so it is passed from generation to generation.

As for Leslye not letting us in on Torbin's state of mind. To the contrary I believe she did. While they were around the campfire Indara told Torbin to quiet his anxiety. Later Sol and Indara are talking. one makes the comment that he (Torbin) is disturbed. The other stated Torbin is unbalanced. Here Leslye gives us three lines on the state of Torbin's mind. She also let us know the Witches mind meddling can linger in the mind. Yord told Osha that he(Smilo ryn) got into his mind and was lingering. Osha replies that her mother could do this. Kanaka 16 years later had Witch art all over his living area. So yes Leslye is leaving us clues. Believe if not the Force vengeance messing with the Jedi's, that possibly the witches (who knew they were there) were nibbling around the edges of their minds. Torbin being the youngest they were able to work on the most from a distance. It was after Sol got into closer contact with the coven that he started to be affected. His fears and wants coming to the forefront. In the end this backfired on them in unforeseen ways. I may be mistaken in this, but it would make some sense to me.
