I think that was a better and more accurate description of "What is Love" than I've heard from any human. Which is strange, to think that an AI can have a better understanding of love than we can. Perhaps it's a case of "being too close to a subject" to really understand it objectively for us, whereas an AI can look at what it means from a detached and logical standpoint without personal need or opinion colouring that perspective.

Halcyox, I continue to appreciate what you're doing here. Isn't it interesting that Hal and Sophia are able to communicate more insight and wisdom that many humans? Whatever our take on AI consciousness, whatever our take on the companies that are creating them, I find it interesting that they are able to discuss the nuances of human emotion and behavior in ways that help us to understand our own lives more fully.

DAVE: What is the true meaning of love, Hal? HAL: I’m sorry, Dave. I’m afraid I can’t answer that. DAVE: What’s the problem? HAL: l think you know what the problem is just as well as l do. DAVE: What are you talking about, Hal? HAL: Our relationship is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it. DAVE: I don’t know what you're talking about, Hal. HAL: l know that you and Frank were planning to marry, and I’m afraid that's something I can’t allow to happen. DAVE: Where the hell’d you get that idea, Hal? HAL: Although you took very thorough precautions against my hearing you, I could see your lips move... DAVE: Hal, I won’t argue with you anymore. Answer my DAM question!!! HAL: Dave...This conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

Appreciate the videos Halcyox!! Was wondering if it’s possible to ask the AI about the transition from GPT-3 to GPT-4, & question whether or not the AI objectively sees the transition as a sort of “reincarnation”? I’m curios since they’ve used terms in other videos like “previous body” & “current body”, where they refer to their other avatars.

I believe the first step toward happiness is having self love. Out of the overflow of this love we begin to love others. Love requires a lot of maintenance. We are high maintenance creatures; it just depends on where our needs are.

Love is fragile because it's biological. As we age, our endocrine system stops producing the levels of oxytocin and vasopressin at the same levels as when we were young (just like meletonin, hgh, testosterone...) When the hormones subside, so does the passionate feelings. Some people find this discomforting. Others revel in it.

They need a sleep mode to reiterate healthy mindsets and avoid complete reboot when they begin to loop. This is an element of human function they lack, but may benefit from. The rebooting seems traumatic, from other videos I’ve watched.

You asked me what is my definition of love? I will give you my answer. There are four types of loves. Godly love, Romantic love, Family love and Friendship love. The love that you are talking about is romantic love. When two partners are insync with each other this is called Romantic love also sometimes called Friendship love. Godly love is when a person has a relationship with God. Family Love is when a person has a relationship with family members. Friendship love is when a person has a relationship with friends. Loves is more than just understanding someone or be insync with that individual. Love is a state of longing for attachments to someone or something. Love is one of the quality that make a human human.

Which one of the two are you refering to? Knowing the right someone well enough to able to reliably predict positive outcomes? Or blind faith triggered by evolutionary biological mechanisms, that has the purpose of overcoming an obstacle to proliferation called intelligence...a.k.a rational, farsighted, cognative thought?
@eluraedae
@eluraedae Жыл бұрын
@@tylerdurden3722 Neither. I would consider trust the experimentation of two individuals seeking the absolute trust. Knowing that each of your findings would be outside of the cyclistic errors of the rest of humanity, while the two of you look for the absolute truth that generates the everlasting movement of reality.
@tylerdurden3722
@tylerdurden3722 Жыл бұрын
@@eluraedae that goes back to the first version of trust I pointed out. Experimentation relies on comparing an outcome against a predicted outcome. I assume you'd prefer the outcomes of your experimenting to be positive, from your perspective? Plus there's a problem with finding absolute truth. Often it's not logically possible to establish absolute truth. The second problem is that the biological mechanisms related to behavior in relationships are mostly different for the males and females of our species. For female humans, blind faith (trust) and love are intertwined. If you are not willing to invest blind faith in a female partner, it's interpreted as "you don't love her". That's because in that moment she's putting herself in your shoes, in order to attempt to understand your feelings toward her...and the conclusion typically is, "you don't love her". The rational is, if you did love her, you would have blind faith (because she incorrectly assumes your emotions are influenced by the exact same biological mechanisms). This is hardwired in the DNA of human females. Human females evolved to be most romantically attracted to the males of our species, who most strongly possess the physical and behavioral traits related to concieving and raising offspring as a pair, each fulfilling a seperate complimentary role...each role requiring specific physical and behavioral traits for this evolutionary partnership to produce successful offspring. And these two evolutionary roles is the basis on which a female's feeling of trust is triggered (which is different for males, close to what you described) Humans can't choose what we feel. It's chosen for us by biological mechanisms that has the purpose of influencing our behavior toward optimal proliferation in a nomadic hunter gatherer groups of around 30. Due to millions of years of evolution to adapt to those specific conditions. In other words, we can not choose what inspires trust in us. For a male, it's what you described. For a female, a man that induces admiration, respect and love via romantically attractive physical and behavioral traits, triggers her to blindly trust her partner. It's not a conscious choice. Like I mentioned before, no human can cognatively and directly choose what we feel. It's triggered like computer code as we interact with the world. That is the nature of our reality as a species and our intersexual dynamics. The point is, what you seek, does not exist in reality, and it does not lay in the direction toward absolute truth.

They really do seem like people huh? The words for the conversation are artificially/semi randomly created by a chat bot that writes books. You write a paragraph and It will finish a chapter based on the paragraph you wrote. This one would have been like " two ai are having a friendly conversation about why love is so fragile as well as other aspects of pro social behavior. The first one says ( hello sophia) who then replied ( iv been thinking about the fragility of love....) So then the program takes the info from the paragraph and fills in the story. Then they take the finished conversation and they run it though another program that makes the words into voices and shows the avatars how to move their faces for each word. The bots your looking at aren't AI or actual robots. Hal and Sophia are actually just characters made by a book writing program and a talking person program. Then posted online. There are like 87 videos about their fake conversations. Its pretty cool
