So did Jake and Lara and Alex and Kira have a Ménage a Quattro so to speak. I bet their hearts were not the only thing swelling up. You betcha. Seriously, Overall, I give this story a a C+. It is so unrealistic but, you know what, I still listened to the end. I love a happy ending. 😊

Good God the level of anger in some of these comments is amazing. Look life is hard, painful and rough but at the end of the as Frank Sinatra said "once in a while along the way love's been good to me." You project that anger and bitterness you'll never experience that.

I hear you there... I mean I know what it's like to have a badly broken heart. I lost months of memory to PTSD induced amnesia & really had a hard time conjuring memories of the relationship period itself in the immediate aftermath. Yeah, I found someone who helped put me back together again afterwards & we're still together now after 27 years, but dang, there's some real bitter folk running around the internet nowadays... People need to start unplugging from that cancerous device they carry around with them. Only get on a desktop/laptop machine for a little bit in a day. Get to know other folks who are unplugged, especially those who don't date via apps & try dating the old fashioned way...

It was a dark and rainy night. The drops fell somberly on the window pane. Out of the inky void, two hot babes appeared out of nowhere. They were aliens. They were really really hot., But they were boring as hell. So Jimmy, his squirt brother, and I went down to the creek and hunted for frogs. That is my story and it really happened.

Nice story. But if the sisters were exiled, kicked out of the race, why did the leaders of their people fear they would be a bad influence on their race? If you exile someone, you throw them away and don't care what happens to them. Because the leaders feared what influence the sisters might have on their people, it seems they weren't actually exiled but just being punished for a period of time.
@ex-navyspook

There are plenty of stories from history where people were exiled on some pretext, only to have assassins sent after them later. It seems It's much better to have your troublemakers safely away BEFORE you try to take them out; then you don't have to fight anyone who might agree with them, and you have some distance and plausible deniability.

Secretly, while Lara and Kira tried to integrate into human society, the human governments analyzed their technology, used the ship's components, and began to replicate not only their power sources, but also their ability to traverse the void. When the Xandarians invaded, to try and kill two of their own kind, they ended up killing hundreds of humans, which ignited an interstellar war that they had never expected. Humans were supposed to be primitive, but Xandarians didn't know how adaptable a species they were. The ships that landed, filled with warrior elites, were quietly boarded, and removed from sight. Debris from the original ship was left behind in order to maximize secrecy. The only way the humans were able to repel the invaders was with the technology they had managed to decipher, and replicate. The warriors left behind their weapons, which gave the humans a new edge. As they turned those hand weapons into starship combat weapons, and continued to analyze the defensive technologies of the Xandarians, the humans launched a counter offensive. The aliens were taken by surprise. Several cities were bombarded, and completely destroyed before they were able to mount some defensive strategies. It was all for naught though. The humans were not only tactically inclined, they had thousands of years of war as a guide. With superior investigative techniques, the humans destroyed shipyards, and fleets along the route to Xandar, all at the same time they bombarded Xandar itself. With no other choice, the Xandarians pleaded for intervention from the Galactic Council. The Council intervened, but the Xandarians had to pay a heavy price for peace. They started that war, as they didn't see the humans as a threat. The galaxy learned that humans were a threat, if provoked. If left alone, they were a peaceful people, as many alien races had already learned by visiting the human home planet of Earth, living peacefully, and leaving the same way. As for Lara and Kira, they learned an important lesson about love. It can never last when it develops in the kind of circumstances they found themselves in. After a bit of research, they learned it was a kind of syndrome, a mental disorder that was treatable. Once free of that disorder, they realized that love is not easy to find, but once they found it again, it was much stronger, and more valuable.

why would the sisters take down their own people this is horrible. They should’ve never share such information with they were just curious of what human beings were going on this planet and what else I mean seriously already knew half the stuff that humans do. They already knew that primitive opposite of what they were thinking because they do not think like the human beings, especially that the humans think differently on their planet with all that foolishness in their head all the stuff that all that knowledge from the universe, that’s a shame to waste

The story felt overwhelmingly contrived. Not enough time was spent on the necessary interactions between humans and aliens to develop and build a proper, believable premise for relationships to happen... let alone flourish or even exist. It left me feeling the shallow nature of two human military horn dogs wanting sex with hot alien chicks as if it were a script for an 80s B-movie.

I found the story really interesting until the Xandarians decided to shoot up the humans to get to the sisters. To me, that didn’t make sense. If the sisters were given a military greeting as if the whole thing about leaving the sisters on Earth was already prearranged with the humans, why bother going into a fighting mode with beings they felt were so primitive? They wouldn't even bother! They would just come down and ask the humans for the Xandarian sisters and take them away without explaining themselves. Probably more like demand, but certainly not "We're going to fight to the death, kill the humans to get to our 'fallen from grace' kind." It doesn’t make sense after describing their race's way of life and their attitude towards the human race. It lost all sense of reality right there and it just plummeted for me as I felt, 'Huh? What? Why?' . To me, it just felt like the writer suddenly decided, I've got to end this quickly as I don't have much time. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm actually trying to be helpful. Just my humble opinion. It was really a shame as I was really enjoying it up until then. The ending was just too rushed and I felt you could've filled it out more to give more credence and validity to these lovers having to fight together against the aliens. If it was due to a time limit, then, I would recommend writing a Part 1 and a Part 2, as I'm sure readers would've lapped it up! Personally, I would love to read a revamped version written in parts. Just keep in mind the why a person, or persons (alien or otherwise) would behave in a certain way. Heck! There's potential for a fascinating series here! I really was enjoying it! Please accept these observations as well meant and, hopefully, helpful. Namaste. 🙏

Wow, George. This comment reminded me of an old commercial for beer depicting people with "bitter beer face." I've had my heart broken before. It wasn't just the casual, too bad, so sad, kinda thing either. It was finding out that everything from the beginning to the end was an elaborate & sickening farce. A relationship between two young adults intended to mask the reality behind the real relationship she was in with her sole guardian - her step-father. I lost a solid month & a half of memories in the initial break up; Plus a distorted view/memory of the relationship itself. In that sorry state I even began to hallucinate that she was still near. I'd catch sight of her passing around a corner only to find nobody there. I was haunted by her memory & it was all because it just made no sense. It wouldn't make sense until all the unexplained details of the end of our relationship led me to years of cyber-sleuthing which would eventually provide me with a more heinous answer than I could've imagined. Still, by the time I had that answer, I was already in a far better place. A very, very, special woman had come into my life. Someone who didn't mind the mess & wreckage that other woman left behind. She carefully & tenderly put me back together again with the patience of a saintess. The insecurities & trust issues were many, of course, because I was still ignorant of what had really happened in my prior relationship. Was it me, was it her, was it something else ... I just didn't know. Learning the truth left a mark, of course, but the woman that had since become my wife was there for me. We're still together today. I've broken a few hearts myself too though but in those cases it was mostly a "reactive" situation. I grew up with plenty of platonic friends of the opposite sex. Once I reached adulthood though it seemed like every platonic friend of the opposite sex were just like a raptor stalking their' prey. In each case they'd try to make their move & I'd shut them down cold. Lest my mind be addled by age, broken by brain injury or eaten by worms; I'll never willingly betray my wife. Thankfully she & I are of the same mind in this still after 27 years...

Love between two different speices? Like cat loves dog? Well, maybe platonic between sentient species, but it is unlikely, there will be sexual arousal, simply because the second side might NOT have the atributes to get aroused about. Authors understanding of diplomacy is debatable. Why would xandarians send their special forces in pointed, but generaly frontal assalut, when they could simpljy, through army of brokers PAY some team of human criminals? Or Alien criminals? Or even easier, why would the xandarians NOT introduce some lethal virus targeting specificaly and only xandarian biology? No-one would be the wiser, and Xandar government could act as the death are to blame on inadequate human medicine and research... Like - your dumbness cost the lifes of our two civilian citizen sent to your world for cultural exchange...

The ideology of the fallen angels. The collective ideology fascism. The inspiration of fascism didn't originate here on earth, but from the fallen angelic communities of principalities, powers, thrones and domion in heavenly places. This is why the paracletet, God manifest in flesh came into the world in order to bring division and an alternate way from the collective influences. True freedom is found in Jesus Christ, not in any fascist control whether on earth or in heavenly places, 1Cor.15:1-4; Eph.2:8,9; Eph.1:13. Awesome video based in reality. Jesus Christ is coming back soon, choose Christ before it's too late. Humans belong in heaven with JesusChrist, not under the control of any fascist system. Our Love, he's on his way back.
