for me the Show died when Charlie was gone, have never watched a single episode without him. Charlie was the show and there was no reason to watch it anymore.

@@moskito5864 Alan and the other characters were also part of what made the show great. I had a similar reaction when the episodes were running and didn’t make it a priority to watch every episode. But watching the “post Charlie” episodes in reruns, the quality of the show never declined. In most episodes Lindsey owns the show. She almost became the new Charlie in a way by being the person to keep Alan in check.

In one episode Alan sets himself on fire. The final scene is long shot of a flaming dot running to the ocean from one of the houses. I'm pretty sure one with lots of time on their hands could pinpoint the house at the beachfront that is supposed to be Charlie's.

The outside is all studio walls. You can see that in the episodes even, the fake lighting and everything. They also used the same front wall on one of the houses when Charlie goes on his apology tour where he tries to find the creator of charlieharpersucks.com
