It's stupid that pgat is cutting spots for smaller fields, just enforce speed of play. The people playing on pga is not what's wrong, it's the commercials and hopping from channel and apps just to watch it. Watching without even being able to watch who you want just who they want to show. Its fine for a Sunday finale, but Thursday thru Saturday you should be able to see alot more players. This is just my opinion, I like pgat and Liv but liv is much easier to watch.

It's Xander and Cantlay. Xander's not been happy with Jay's running of the PGAT since the merger framework agreement was announced and he's even less happy now that they still seem no closer to a deal than they were in June 2023. With Xader being exempt from all the majors the next five years and until he turns 60 for the Open Championship, he doesn't need the PGAT. And where Xander goes, Cantlay's sure to follow as the two are joined at the hip. LOL! Wouldn't be surprised to see both have co-captaincy and ownership in a new team.

Who really cares about TGL, We need more Liv events, as I have said before, they should have made it 18 countries playing individual and team, The bottom 4 countries get kicked out and the top 4 countries from secondary league go up. How cool would that be .Australia,NewZealand,Japan,Spain,England,Ireland,Scotland,Italy,USA,Mexico,France,Sth Korea,China,Thailand,Sth Africa,Zimbabwe,Argentina,Wales. 18 events, 1 in each country then Finals played in Saudi Arabia.

I am sure there are a number of PGA pros who are regretting not taking LIV up on their offers especially with the new PGATour protocols of fewer cards and smaller fields to help enrich even further the top pros. Mark my words, if LIV and the DPWorld Tour come to some form of agreement and LIV acquires world ranking points, that may well be the death knell of the PGATour. The pace of play reason for such new protocols is really rediculous as pace of play has been an issue for decades with no resolution. Besides the only time the size of the fields are really a concern is during the early season, and frankly oh well, they are pros and too bad if they have to come back the next day to finish up or go to split tees.

Live could easily add more players and add a early tee times. 6 man team only 3 counting per team and have the teams broken into early 7am tee times where everyone starts on every hole and then the 12-1 pm tee times with 3 players per hole. They wouldn't even hafta change there format. Players would just hafta get up early sumtimes.

@OahugolfguyАй бұрын
Matsuyama no doubt. But now his exemption is running short. Morikawa was a good call. He has exemptions. Also running short now. The diminishing tour is to be able to focus that much more money on the stars remaining. It does open up the possibility for LIv players. The points at the end were good. The pga tour and its media partners do not present things well; certainly not in this era. They are stuck in the past. Too many commercials. Too much wasted time during the coverage. Even if the stories are intriguing and somehow fans know about it, it’s boring for most people. Nothing they are doing is for the fans, and certainly none of it will help with casual fans in any way.

I can’t stand LIV. To me it’s gimmicky and there’s no pressure to keep your job. So you get relegated. You already got a boatload of cash up front or your a no name who’d be replaced if someone of stature wanted to join. The PGA has its problems too. Pace of play is tooooo slow and Monahan needs to be replaced. With a shot clock, Xander and Patrick couldn’t survive in LIV. Watching them is like watching a glacier thaw. I’ll watch the LPGA if given a choice, but find myself watching less and less golf these days anyway.

Theres no Livv management as PIF runs Livv with Y Rumyyan being Livv CEO, Chair & Commish. Normnn isnt CEO, never has been, and Livv isnt a Normnn concept. Players who wanted Livv employment took it and are there, others said No. With PIF investing in USPGAT and leaving Livv on its own interest in Livv ' teams ' is still golfs biggest lead balloon leaving ' captains ' with negative equity in the tens of millions$$.
