Reminds me of this Asian thing... Everyone has a red string. It rests on your finger, the other end connected to your soulmate's finger. You can watch the string move. The string never breaks or gets tangled. Once the red string turns black, it means your soulmate has died. I'm not sure if it can be replaceable or if it will still be attached to your finger. It's both. In the beginning Keith wants to fly away, from Earth, to a place where he belongs. Lance is, more or less, happy where he is. By the end, Lance wants to go home aka "fly away" but Keith doesn't want to go back to Earth, In my opinion at least. I'd explain it in more detail, but then I'd bring in headcanons and I don't think anyone wants to sit through all that

Hearing this song reminds me of something I made up a few years back. I thought that for each person you get form a bond with, wether in a romantic sense or friendship, you get a certain colored string, that I always imagined being connected to your chest, right above your heart. Whenever you and that person start to grow apart, the string gets tighter and tighter, until the day when you stop caring about them at all, and the string snaps. Sorry for taking so long, if you bothered to read this far, but I found it interesting that it was the same concept as an idea that I've never shared with anyone. Wonderful Video btw💜💙❤️

Rosji Venus sorry my idea kinda changed halfway through drawing this so the point I was trying to make was a little muddled! Basically at the end, Lance is really excited for them to eventually go back to earth and bring Keith to meet his family, while Keith is physically becoming more galra and is struggling to deal with it,, he's believes that he's never going to be able to go back to earth and do what lance dreams of doing, and the last scene is Keith trying to run away but Lance following him and the giving of the jacket I was trying to symbolise that Lance was going to support him through everything??
