This almost resemble my experience in my just ended courtship. I thank God I did not die. Infact now I am abundantly grateful to God for not allowing the courtship to mature into marriage. In my own case, the guy broke up with me sharply and suddenly! I cried because I loved him but now I am 100% convinced that the breakup was indeed God's deliverance. Thank you Jesus.

I believe that as women, God made us with this unique sense of discernment through our instincts. And it even gets better with a woman who is spiritually positioned, listens to and hears the voice of God. When Joke started shedding tears during the prayers on the eve of her wedding, she instinctively should have known that something was wrong somewhere. Restlessness can be a means by which God speaks to us, sometimes. I believe a cancelled marriage is better than a cancelled destiny/purpose. It's very unfortunate that she ignored both the red flags and the restlessness within her spirit due to desperation and pressure. It's also a pity how Mummy Andrew destroyed her own child with her own hand out of what she thought were good intentions. The very mark that Andrew was immature was his allowing his mother's interference in his marriage. And as for Mummy Andrew, I expected better from her as a woman whose husband used to beat her in her own marriage. Well, it's easier said when you're not the one the shoe hurts. Indeed, man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at and sees the heart. That is my take-home lesson from this movie. 🙏🏾 May God help us all.

Okk so I'm done watching it and I must say this is a real life story like is not some fictional something. Joke never prayed for her husband and the mum prayed last minute no intercessor. No one stood in the gap and she never allowed herself to be interceded for by her friend. And is like that's how life is. Father I pray for myself and all singles here that we will have a discernment spirit will WILL HEED TO WHATEVER THE SPIRIT SAYS TO US. Remember Joke had the feeling even on the eve of her wedding but made the flesh took over. Very touching story. No godly man will make his wife leave her job so he can control her. Leaving your job because your husband says so (not because you want to) is not submission. Even our LORD would not want us to neglect what we've worked hard for, He wants us to long enjoy the work of our hands (Isaiah 55:22), He wants the work of our hands to prosper even as our soul prospers (3 john 1:2), He wants us to have to the things that pertain to life (including financial independence) and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). As much as our LORD hates divorce, He does not want any woman to die because of "I want to keep my marriage." If a marriage threatens your life, purpose or sanity, you can separate from such spouse and remain single. Separation in the scope of the Word is a separation with reconciliation in view (1 Corinthians 7: 10 &11). You can reconcile with the spouse when they get back to their senses. Thank you very much for this movie. It's a real eye opener. Alot of women are already facing this issue in their marriages but sadly there are not much gospel movies or messages that talk to such women about what they should do or where to draw the line and separate. While it is good to focus on their mistakes for other singles to learn, I feel it is also good to focus on such women too because some don't know what to do and they can't speak up for several reasons. We also live in a society where women are stigmatized and judged for leaving their marriages even if temporarily, not minding the danger they are exposed to and so women continue to die in silence. I personally believe that actions have consequences like this movie has pointed out but just because you make a mistake doesn't mean you should let it bury you like Sis Joke did. Nevertheless prevention is better than cure. May the Lord help us. Andrew's mother is a selfish mother, she didn't consider her daughter in law as her own daughter else she would've rebuked her son whenever he went wrong. In this Life we reap what we sow.
