I’m fortunate enough to live about 45 minute away from central London. My main hoppy is street photography and I spend a fair amount of time in Savile Row and Jermyn Street taking street portraits of well dressed people who are proud to pose for me to show off their amazing style. Last time I visited was because I had been invited by one of the shops to see the annual classic car exhibition. Each of the shops sponsors owners/manufacturers to exhibit their cars. Definitely worth a visit next time it’s on.

I tend to disagree: even if you don't have a perfect body (and most of us have not) there is so much to hide (or not to accentuate) by wearing good clothes, e. g. if you're having a paunch you can wear a three piece suit, because the waistcoat takes away a lot of your overweight. Or never wear skinny clothes. Or do not wear horizontally striped shirts or pullovers. If you're having short legs, just wear high cut trousers. The list goes on and on. And what has the choice of a hat, a good tie, a pocket square and good shoes to do with your body shape?

Really enjoy your informative videos. You have taken me (85 yr. old man) from a good dresser to the best dressed man in my church. I an constantly getting comments from the ladies, all ages, and the fellows too. People notice and appreciate a sharp dresser. I am a greeter, and see numerous people each Sunday. I am also a sharp dresser when I dress casual. Never too old. Very disappointing to see a person who seems not to care or knows the joy of dressing sharp and properly. This video made my chuckle Ash. Your trip to the Tea house theatre in Vauxhall rang some old bells for me. You mentioned it being a pub in a former life. It was a little bit more than that. Looks like it used to be the Queen Anne a former less salubrious 'gentlemen's club' which involved, lets say, exotic dancing!!!. Enjoyed your review of the Union Jack club as I've enjoyed a cheap pint and meal there on many times before.

As some who has substantial pop-culture knowledge (I also have "serious" competences but that would ne boring😉) I absolutely loved the moments of "Bond-geeking-out" (and about history - chap after my on heart) - aren't most of us secretely or openly Bond fanboys? Ahhh - still need to watch the Interviews!😅 I completely concor on the quality of the IWM... okay I can only honestly vouch for yesteryears displays but glad to hear it's going strong! And of course it's awesome to hear how the meet and greet went - green with envy😉. Random work semi-related throw in: lovely boots and a Vibram sole! Work with Vibram's Commando soles a *lot* and they will last you quite a while and they are really readily repaired or even replaced... If you had shelled out the money😉 - end of work blurt. Being American is weird. I'm ethnically Italian, and I connect with a lot of those cultural cues. But England is, culturally, like the other set of grandparents. We speak English. Our origin story is English. Our literary history is intertwined with English literary history. Our present day movies, music, and social media experience is likewise intertwined. My best memories of living in France were the weekends spent in England. So if you met me on the street (and I would 100% ask for a photo), you might think 'who is this scrub'? But your message of quality, craftsmanship, self-improvement, and appreciation for culture tends to cross borders, styles, and world view. I think this is a result of an honesty you exude that we don't see in most of the hits-obsessed KZbinrs.

Great to see a group of people coming together all well turned out with polished shoes etc. It is becoming a rarity indeed. You are doing great work sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge for those who are trying to improve their standard of dress in an elegant manner. It occurs to me that you would be an ideal individual to found a new group for such enthusiasts. Maybe it could be called 'The British Sartorial Society' assuming it doesn't already exist of course. Never got on with wristwatches even though I've worn them on and off my whole life. Being a lefty, it's either in the way on the left arm, or the stem digs into my arm on the other side. Maybe if they made a left handed model, lol. Plus my wrists arn't all that large so many mens watches are too bulky. In professional life I generally wore one only when absolutely necessary. Since cell phones, I don't really have to. If Im gonna dress up with a watch I prefer my Grandad's pocket watch as long as I have a watch pocket for it. Even though I have to set and wind it every time it gets worn.
