Two Days in the Pacific Northwest (Document Your Life)

Stephanie and I head to Washington and Olympic National Park for a couple days of photography and exploration.
Videos like these probably won't be common on my channel for awhile until I am able to travel routinely. That is the goal for this channel, to one day be a travel photography channel.

Video filmed in H.264 Long GOP, I think that's what is responsible for most of the artifacts present in the video. Maybe it is anyway. Also not sure what’s up with the banding on the last image. Iso was 1600 so it wasn’t that. Weird. Guess digital isn’t that much different from film in regards to the occasional imperfection and oddity.

You choose wisely on the location for this trip. Olympic National Park comes in second only to Mt. Rainier. However, Hurricane Ridge to Ruby Beach and the images you made are exceptional.

Thank you so much. My wife and I really love the ocean and we’ve always wanted to visit the pacific coast. It only seemed right to visit Olympic national park. We plan to return to Washington one day to visit Mt. Rainier and see more of that beautiful state.

I've been researching this camera a lot lately and came across your video, excellent photos! I love the PNW. What lens/lenses did you shoot most of this trip with on the 50r?

If I recall correctly my most used lens on the 50r was the 50mm f3.5. Phenomenal little lens and it fit the 50r so well. I also brought the 80 f1.7 but didn’t use it much. I think most of the photos towards the end are from the 80. Thanks for asking!

@@sethpotterphoto thanks for responding! That's one of the lenses I was looking into actually. I imagine if I do go this route, I won't be purchasing a ton of lenses for it. Right now I'm shooting with the XT5. Do you still own the 50r?

@@TheRem484 of course! Happy to reply. Also no I don’t own my 50r anymore. I traded it in on a 50sii because I wanted ibis and the better tilt screen. Honestly my gfx has been gathering dust since I grabbed my xt5.

Did you shoot the video with the 100S ?

No, all video was shot with the xh2s. I’m still fairly inexperienced shooting video so I’m sure I didn’t get the best out of that camera.
