There were a lot of interesting things about this house and lots of items left behind. Good one James, thanks.

I agreed that if this house was in Ontario that it would have been in much worse shape! Vandalism is stupid and I was happy to see that this one had next to none of it! I really liked the different wallpaper throughout the house! That little boys sweater was a glimpse of a time when a nice young family must have lived there. Every house has a story to tell. To me that's what makes each explore unique and interesting. Thanks once again for bringing us along on this one James! We always enjoy watching! 😊

It was a nice change to see something abandoned for so long, yet still free from vandalism. The child's sweater really does make it hit home. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for your comment!!

Loved the retro furniture in this one. Made the explore interesting, but (as always) i'm sad it couldn't have been saved and refinished/used before the house began to fall apart. At least the home still serves a purpose as a shelter for the birds though. Anyway, thanks so much for this one and be careful to watch your step! 🙃
@StaticSpaces3 күн бұрын
Ya, the furniture really added a lot of value to this explore, I probably wouldn't have bothered if it weren't there. As for the birds, they basically own this house now. 😂 Glad you enjoyed it Carrie and thank you very much for your comment!!

I am a trucker who goes to mostly rural areas and I want to stop and explore every abandoned house I see, but never do. I make up stories about the family that lived there and I imagine all the trials and tribulations they went through. Its sad to think that this could be all that is left of anyone of our lives one day.

I believe the owners lived in that house in the 1950's or 1960's or 1970's, you can tell by the old style furnitures, appliances and even the radio!
@StaticSpaces3 күн бұрын
Yes for sure, most of the furniture and appliances was from the 60s/70s, they probably didn't buy much stuff after that point in time. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for your comment!!

@@StaticSpaces You're welcome!😊i wonder if the house will be saved or not? what a horrible mess in that house!, it would take a long time to empty the house!, if they will save the house!?
@StaticSpaces2 күн бұрын
I doubt they will save the house, it likely has no value to the owners, the land is what they are interested in. It's sad but things are changing

@@StaticSpaces I understand, and i guess the house is finished by the looks of it.

Sorry, so late just a lot going on at my end. Like the name of the Time Capsule lol. Wow what a place just amazes me on how much is left makes one wonder what happened to have the family leave it all. I like how you put your stills in your videos they give a great view of all that is in the rooms, that bed that is just melting away is something else, the wallpaper is really cool. Thanks for another great one.

1:38 Imagine this room in the 1980s it would have been a time capsule back then, also i really like the Fo-wooden lacquered panels and all the vintage 1950s furniture it's my style cause it reminds me of the old time days .

Happy new year, James. Great explore. The couches and chairs look right out of the 1960's. I love the simplicity of that style. I always wonder about the everyday life of the families when you explore homes like this and I imagine lots of love and laughter. Now their home is so quiet and decaying. Kinda sad. Sorry, I am getting s little nostalgic.

Looking at the condition of the outside of the firearm house and the inside I would have to say it's probably been a good fifty years when the last people live there.
@StaticSpaces2 күн бұрын
I don't think it has been quite that long, but anything is possible, usually homes don't last that long unless they have a metal roof. Once the roof begins to fail, all that wood rots pretty quickly. Thank you very much for your comment!!

I actually think the linoleum upstairs is pretty cool! I'll bet it's asbestos though, unfortunately.
@StaticSpaces2 күн бұрын
I had no idea linoleum contained asbestos until you mentioned that, so I looked it up and some of it did! Good thing is, if you leave it undisturbed it is safe. Thanks very much for your comment!!
@kimciesielski82792 күн бұрын
@StaticSpaces I'll tell you what. When I was little, my Grandma had this huge monstrosity of a furnace in her basement. The pipes were wrapped in what looked like a plaster cast. (It was asbestos.) Myself, my siblings & cousins all used to run around down there and we constantly poked at it. Most of us are still alive! 😂
@StaticSpaces2 күн бұрын
Well ya, poking it is never a good idea of course! But I also don't think the dangers were widely known a few decades ago. With that said, these items contain asbestos but it's not like the whole material is asbestos, usually there are just a few asbestos fibres woven into the products. Either way, it's good that we have mostly stopped using it
