I was feeling hopeless and lost before I found this video. A lot of professors rely on previously acquired mathematical knowledge on the student's part. They believe they can demonstrate the broad strokes and that the student should be able to intuit the rest. I can't tell you how much I appreciate videos like this. You live up to your screen name.
