EXCELLENT review guys! I am going to the USVI in April for a belated honeymoon (FU$#%@G COVID!) and I saw this here in Texas for ONLY $14.99! And it is TO DIE FOR!! I used to drink either bourbon and Coke (Evan Williams Bottle in Bond) or Gin and Tonic(Original Bombay London Dry Gin is my FAVORITE, Way better than Sapphire) BUT this EASILY became BY FAR my favorite spirit I HAVE EVER TASTED! This rum is a staple in my home bar - it has a very distinctive flavor and aroma - there's really nothing quite like it that I know of. It can be used as a decorative and tasty floater on tropical drinks and works well in some dark rum cocktails. Use it sparingly, it can easily overpower a drink. It's really not a sipper in my opinion (much too strong flavored for that). Go to the Cruzan website to learn how to properly pronounce "Cruzan". cruzanrum.com/the-dont-hurry/

A beautiful rum took me 3 weeks and finally had to dive 25 miles to get the last 3 bottles on the shelf. Well worth it!

When I tried it, I thought it kind of tasted like there was maple in it. With coke its amazing!

Great review guys you nailed it I think Rum has a reputation of being mixed but it is so enjoyable neat you guys should also try Pussers 15 year old British Navy Rum .... also very smooth

To me it tastes like a liquid version of those striped licorice candies made from molasses.

i wanted a dark rum and coke. i went to buffalo wild wings and asked. she said cruzan. i said ok. it was the best flavored mixed drink i ever had. i usualy drink a vodka martini or a good borubon.

Gentlemen, I have let you down. I love this stuff, but frequently drink it on the rocks, like my scotch. (Does that mean I'm not a "real" drinker?) I might try to mix it someday with something... but... no, I'm lying there.. I just can't bring myself to pollute the rum with anything other than the occasional ice cube or two. Still, by far the tastiest shot of the hard stuff I've ever found.

Chilling a liquid mutes the flavor to a point where it should be considered a masking agent . This review should have been done at Caribbean room temperature (72-84F). The distillers and master blenders at Cruzan drink it at that temp and it's been enjoyed that way since the late 1700's. Man up.
