Craig is such a master: Unflappable, piercing, yet gracious.

What Dr. Craig says at the end is great - it's not always about an absolute proof. "Reasonable Faith". It's the demonstration of the reasonableness of our beliefs. Apologia - a defense. 1 Peter 3:15. And don't forget Romans 1:18-32. This is as much for believers to have confidence in what they believe as it is for witnessing to skeptical non-believers. Thank you for all your work, Dr. Craig!

It’s good policy to link to the content you are responding to either in the video description or in a pinned comment. It’s helpful for the audience to be able to evaluate the source material themselves in its full context as well as keep up with the responses that creator or author may provide.

It's important to note that deconstruction is a process to remove any weak structures, if much of your worldview is weakly structured you will need to remove more, most importantly the most foundational structure needs to be strong and everything on top of it reconsidered once it's replaced. And that's the key once you deconstruct you must reconstruct a holistic sturdy worldview, and add regular inspections to prevent weaknesses from risking the building. To recap deconstruct, then reconstruct with carefully inspected parts.

20:02 - 20:42 This is why you can reject the idea of eternal conscious torment or eternal abandonment. This does not exclude concepts of hell, purgatory, separation, being cast out of Eden, etc. Just the eternal part. Also, requiring a million years in hell to be reconciled to the father is morally superior to annihilationism.

Reasonable Faith Admin, Dr. Craig mentions that his book on the evidence for the resurrection will be republished. When will this be, and how can we get a copy? Amazon?

You should be able to find a used copy but a great primer is Steven Waterhouse, Jesus & History. Edwin Yamauchi highly recommends it. I found a copy in my old public library on sale and know the Holy Spirit led me to search their book sale.

It’s not always a deconstruction of “traditional” Christianity. Also, deconstruction does not necessarily oppose construction. One must often first deconstruct in order to reconstruct. And often, what is constructed is the more traditional view in place of previously held cult-like beliefs.

The most reasonable position is to believe the Resurrection happened. Too many factors make no sense without the reality of said Resurrection.

Often I find such things are made on a split case decision. It was emotionally accepted at first and denied on the same basis. The lack of intellectual foot work on the part of the individual turned on them in the end. Like a leaf on the wind, they are blow about to unknown lands. Having landed, they claim this was where they were meant to be. This is their Christian faith. Later the wind picks them up again, and having landing elsewhere, they state the new location is where they were meant to be, all the while saying there is no meaning to being. This is their atheism. There is a problem with accepting the Lord emotionally alone. It is shallow and easily taken from the person. If I took it on a whim, I can leave it on one.

One should reason out the evidence intellectually and also seek the presence, the voice of the Lord and learn experientially. He exalts the humble and hides from the arrogant

@@EssenceofPureFlavor remember the "emperor has no clothes". I am not saying that I have nothing to lose by challenging these self-styled authority figures on their own turf. I am saying that I am willing to assume that risk and probably have already taken some hits for it. So I might as well carry on. What else can they do to me. And as for "credentials", the attempts by some of them to smear me, is all the credential I need.

@@EssenceofPureFlavor WRT "...completely unsupported claims..." hey dude, I'm just quoting your favorite book. I didn't write it and am not responsible for what it says. If you claim to 'believe' all of what is in there, you ARE responsible for what it says and also responsible for it not making sense.

Being an expert on the evidence free physics defying super natural claims made in a book of plagurized myths and fables does not make you an expert on resurrections. You are no more an expert on the super natural itself than the typical ghost hunter with a reality show is. Your talent is conning the gullible and making them believe you have the Power to communicate with the spirits in the supernatural realm.

@1:28 WRT "constructing"... so basically what you are saying is that your job is to SHORE UP the very flimsy foundation of your elaborate belief system. I guess you have actually concluded that you have no supporting evidence, so your job is to "construct" some. Good luck with that. I will find better things to do with my time.
