Ships aside this is probably one of the most beautiful videos I ever watched even with the poor quality. My favorite thing is how Juan is making the "female" role but the dance is anything but feminine, he made it strong and sexy without copying a girls movement like other dancers do. It shows how two guys can dance without one of them having to be the "girl". I would love to see the opposite too. It's kinda funny that the comments are filled with ships instead of any homophobic comment so that makes me happy despite the stupidity of some people trying to start ship wars.

The funny thing about tango, is that in the beginning it was almost exclusively danced by men, with other men. This was because of how intimate the dance is, and was seen as too close for any proper women to ever show herself dancing (there where maybe some who danced in private, but never in public). Even in places where it caught on and was seen OK for women to dance it, they wore some kind of 'armour' in front so their chest wasn't touching their partners. And so, when tango was still young and new, it was almost always danced by men, in bars, with other men, while often being somewhat intoxicated. Fun fact.

@@hussinyusof After some researches I found out that one of the two tangueros is Juan Segui, a professional tanguero, and from what I've read on his FB page, this place is called Café Tortoni, in Buenos Aires. Apparently, it's one of the most beautiful and luxurious cafés in the world.

Can't believe that the best performance that I've found for this song is some 144p resolution with audio bad enough to deaf me 😂😂😂 Not that I'm complaining, and thank God I didn't skip this! Something that I just clicked on a whim, I could have easily gone on with life without knowing this masterpiece. I'm just bummed out that I'll never be able to loop this in 4k. Wow. So, first order of business, amazing dancing. I've always been a fan of the more, um, fiery dances. I also enjoyed that it was two men. When ever there's a woman in the mix there will be some kind of dress to show her off making it difficult to notice both her partner and her ACTUAL body movements. Secondly, yes, yes, I think just about everyone is making the Ereri connection. I also found this from an Ereri post but at least address the dancing before you say something about a fictional couple (not bashing, remember, that's why I also am here).

Watched this almost a decade ago and I still come to watch it every once in awhile. The amount of passion, emotion, and chemistry this dance displays is so overwhelming. It feels so personal with how it’s performed in a small secluded public space and not on stage, making it feel all the more intimate and sensual. I almost feel like I shouldn’t be watching. It was also filmed when lgbt was a lot more criticized, so I can only imagine how forbidden it felt to dance with a male partner to a small audience. It feels almost tragic, in a way. Bravo bravo
