I really like your beading Matt. I bought a 1/2" piece of compressed wool (used by quilters for ironing on) and put a fabric edging around the sides. But if I add the foam layers for pockets to hold select beads that would be the bomb! The best part of those quilters wool ironing pieces; is that they can be found in many sizes and I have cardboard under mine for lap support when working from my chair.
