Mao Zedong is immortal, his mind resounds on our hearts and his ideas are going to spread around the entire world
@blackbeard6423 Жыл бұрын
He was nothing more than a sadistic psychopath who cared almost nothing for China, his family, his colleagues, his party, or anything at all except for himself. Mao's only concern was controlling other people at all costs and he cared not for the immense and permanent damage he inflicted on China, its people and its history, solely to satisfy his own sickening desires and secure his own position.

*People's war. Its protracted nature depends on the particular conditions of the country it is being applied to. PPW is applicable to semi-colonial semi-feudal countries like India and the Philippines, but less so in imperialist nations like the United States.
@LetsGoGetThem3 жыл бұрын
@@redflags6583 Respectfully disagree. Work by Maoists in Ireland has shown that this could potentially be applied to an urban condition, and deindustrialization has sent this concept into flux. The US is a chief exporter of food and so a people's war could work to US conditions despite an imperialist ruling class.
@redflags65833 жыл бұрын
@@LetsGoGetThem to be clear, i'm not saying people's war can't work in imperialist countries/countries with a sizeable industrial proletarait/countries that aren't semi-colonial semi-feudal generally. people's war is universal. what i'm saying is *protracted* people's war, i.e. launching a three-stage strategic armed struggle while building mass bases and enacting agrarian revolution, from the countryside to the cities. as always, MLM should be creatively applied to specific conditions in one's country. people's war in the US will necessarily look different because of different class contradictions and objective conditions. armed struggle in the US will look different from armed struggle in colombia or india.

"Half of China may well have to die" -Mao Zedong (concerning the repurcusions of paying the Soviets with Chinese food) This is th despicable fucker you are praising. He knew what he was doing. Do your research.

@@loslingos1232 "On 21 November1958, talking to his inner circle about the labor-intensive projects like waterworks and making 'steel,' and tacitly, almost casually, assuming a context where peasants had too little to eat and were being worked to exhaustion, Mao said: 'Working like this, with all these projects, half of China may well have to die. If not half, one-third, or one-tenth-50million-die.'" -The Unknown Story: Mao, by Jung Chang and Jon Halliday, pg. 431. Even if this wasn't spelled out clearly by this despot, claiming that the 70 million deaths under his tyrannical reign wasn't on purpose, that it was an oopsie on the part of an all-powerful dictator, not only throws dirt on Mao's name by casting him as head-in-the-clouds, idealistic buffoon, but is also completely blind to all the other corroborating evidence that points to his being not only knowledgeable about, but the instigator of this catastrophic tragedy.

@@bray7934 "working like this, with all these projects, half of China may well have to die. If not half, one-third, or one-tenth-50million-die.'" Nope. Here is the explanation for that quote. "Or more specifically, by “people” he was actually referring to the planned projects at the time, but determined there isn’t enough resource to complete all of them. So an actual and accurate translation of his word should be “if we evenly divided up resource to all of the projects, then none of them will get completed. Better to complete half of them and not starting the other half than fail all of them.”"
@blkan64152 жыл бұрын
You got some misunderstandings. We Chinese think he saw things further than all of us. Many say he had predicted what would happen in today after his death. He was a great chairman and he knew exactly what he was doing and what he should do. The great famine was not his fault. During the period of the leap forward, many bureaucrats gave fake stats about agriculture. Mao was a peasant. How could he not know the reports were exaggerated? He wrote a letter to them, but it was ignored. A fun fact, during that time, the country president, Liu, thought dog soup could make yams grow better, so he advocated feeding dogs and killing them to make soup. So today, some Chinese call Liu as "the dog soup" as an insult.
