Two immiscible fluids of equal density are flowing down a surface inclined at an angle theta. The two fluid layers are of equal thickness h, with viscosities u1 and u2. Find the velocity at the interface between the two fluids, and the velocity at the free surface.
Assyme steady state, incompressible conditions.
Another way that it can be asked:
Two immiscible, incompressible, viscous fluids having the same densities but different viscosities...
Use the conservation of momentum (Navier-Stokes) and the conservation of mass to find the velocity profile, then calculate the requested velocities for the specific locations.
