Two important dev skills that don’t get enough attention

As someone who had had a long career as an IT process (ITIL or Service Management) architect / consultant stepping into complex enterprise environments mapping them, organizing them, and optimizing them, I agree completely with what you are saying. It’s one of the reasons why I like your channel. What you are covering here is much more universal than just applying to coding. Too many programmers simply follow steps that work and are satisfied. That doesn’t work for me. I have to understand how and why. That’s what I get from your videos as I move into semi-retirement and do more of the fun lower stress IT work that I have always enjoyed. Congrats on the conference speaking gig. Those are the best. I once served on an experts panel where one of the other experts was the person who taught my entry level class in the field who was a luminary in the field. That provided the best sense of accomplishment, and I said so in my opening comments.

We have Golo that makes german YT tutorial. He is also very good in teaching coding stuff. But you are 2nd on my list and the best englisch speaking YT teacher. Thanks for all your effort you put into this.
