​@@KallusGarnet Hi Kallus, great question! Yes, you can absolutely use this stunning EQ on a vocal chain! I use nicer guitar pedals all the time for studio use. The important thing to note is that a Line Level signal coming out of a preamp can sometimes be hotter than what a guitar might put out, so gain stage accordingly. Also, make sure only to use unbalanced line cables as that is how this pedal is designed to work! Just got mine a few days ago. It does everything they claim. Squeaky-clean, pristine sound and zero noise. It is also mush easier and faster to use than a graphic eq. Highly recommended.

Through the Mesa Boogie it sounded great! I have a JP2C and was looking to pull out a few more frequencies to make it growl even more. This EQ does the trick.

My bass player has version one. Empress don't just build these to sound good they are built like a proverbial tank. They are much easier to use than they look. The 'studio' quality is not some marketing bull ... It is easily good enough to use even on vocals for 'serious' recording.

Holy smokes that things help the Empress Distortion sing! I wonder if it would well on acoustic guitar too? They are so hard to EQ properly.

I have the original version in my modified fx loop (series) of my Mesa Nomad 100 head. Very handy tool. I was inspired by the Mesa JP2C that has 2 graphic eqs.

The original is way better built. My friend has the new deluxe we opened it up - it uses cheaper parts. The new ones do nothing extra I need. The old Empress stuff is gold. The new stuff is better than average, but global supply chain issues have hit quality for all builders really hard.

@Dan Oliviér I'm not, I'd not pay 750 but if I could get the old model for the same or less I'd get the old one, almost every component is more premium (the capacitors alone are worth double the new ones they cheaped out on) even the pcb is thicker and the solder used in the old ones is 63 36 (the good stuff).
