I know traditional Mexican cooking can be strange and terrifying to the home cook but I’m honestly amazed at how well this omelette turned out without a single egg

I just made this tonight for dinner and finished eating it 2 minutes ago. I had to jump on here and comment that it turned out great. It is WAY different than anything I would typically make, and I figured my family wouldn't touch it, but my wife and I both thought it was fantastic!

My husband cooked this for our family yesterday and I truly thought it would be disappointing and yuck; HOWEVER, it was seriously incredible, especially on a freezing snowy day. I thought it would be sweet (which I do not like) but it was savory and had a bit of a spicy kick. The most comforting dish we've ever had. Our kids loved it too. Thanks for sharing!

Just made this tonight, only thing I changed was halving the cayenne, as I have a very spice sensitive person in my family. Flavor is good, but I found it lacking a bit in salt, so I'd add at least a half teaspoon when you add the liquid. For clarity, I generously salted the chicken and put a few good pinches on the veg when I put them in.

Okay, my wife is not a huge chicken fan, unless it has an interesting sauce, and she love PB, so I showed here the highlights of this video after watching it this morning, and there was immediate interest. Made it tonight, and we only had chunky PB, and no cilantro. And had to use cashews at the end, as we were out of peanuts. It was delicious, and we'll definitely make this again. Great dish. Had it with Jasmin rice today, will make some Bismati tomorrow for the leftovers.

Regional dish recipe (Halifax, NS) Donair - A Canadian east-coast specialty Donair Meat: 2 pounds medium ground beef 3 cloves minced garlic ½ cup all-purpose flour 4 tsp sweet paprika 3 tsp dried oregano 2 tsp salt 2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp pepper ¾ tsp cayenne pepper Sweet garlic sauce: 1 can sweetened condensed milk 3/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup white vinegar Additional ingredients: Pita bread (warmed) Finely diced white onion Diced tomato For the meat, mix all spices together and, using your hands, blend with the ground beef and minced garlic. Form into a loaf pan (like you would meatloaf) and cook at 300 degrees for about 2 hours. Cool. Slice thin and heat on the flat-top when ready to eat. To make the sweet garlic sauce, mix all ingredients until thickened. Easiest way is to add everything into a jar, close the lid, and shake until it forms a thick sauce. Place the hot, sliced beef in the warm pita, top with the finely diced white onion, diced tomato and the sweet garlic sauce. Add parsley, if desired and fold to eat!
