Thought provoking & heart opening documentary! Yoga, meditation, and psychedelic therapy represent alternative treatment modalities that hold potential for addressing mental health issues among war veterans. While yoga and meditation have a more established evidence base, psychedelic therapy is a rapidly evolving field with promising early findings. It is essential that these modalities are further researched, integrated into comprehensive treatment plans, and implemented with proper oversight and safety protocols to ensure their effectiveness and safety for veterans and others seeking mental health support. 🙏🙏🙏

First off, my Salute to these two fine gentlemen and the Veterans at large. It was very powerful documentary for me. It moved me to tears as I kept putting myself in their shoes. We all go through our own battles in our lives, but to get over the emotional and moral compass, we need to look within. Like them, the Power Breath is the thing that has kept me going. Thank you Tom and Anthony for showcasing your vulnerability and encouraging others to do the same. It takes a lot of courage to go within! May peace prevail!!

Remember these people, these soldiers are also victims and don't blame them for gov policies. Don't leave them alone and have some compassion. Love from Poland 🇵🇱❤️

Every single human on the wrong side of 40 has had traumatic experiences to deal with. Just because they 'fit the profile' according to those who don't know them doesn't mean they have PTSD. As for vets thats a different matter entirely. I feel for them.

I posted my previous comment while trying to get some chores done, and after only watching this movie for a couple of minutes or so. Now I had finished watching. I truly hope that this movie can help a lot of people. While I will never understand the magnitude of what the vets go through, I do hope more and more people can bravely take the first step of proper healing. Concentrating on our breaths is really helpful. It is simple but not easy. It can even be extremely hard some days, if not on most days. Having a supportive peer/partner/community makes the healing journey more bearable. I believe deep down we all have consciences, and it can become too painful to face ourselves. We start punishing ourselves over and over, for years and even decades. We could start hating ourselves more and more. It could become normal over time, and we don't even realize it. To all the vets: It was the collective negative energy and you had very little control in those situations. The healing journey can take many years, and we can have many bad days. It takes patience and a little kindness to ourselves. Concentrating on our breaths, knowing that we are breathing and alive in this body helps us to focus on the Present moment. Gradually, we regret less about the past and worry less (or be less fearful) about the future. The crushing weight on our shoulders and chest that's been there for decades will come off. Sorry for rambling on. I have just started my own healing journey and there is still a long road ahead. Addictions (even to loud noises so that we don't need to face ourselves), especially substance abuse are only quick temporary fixes. Forgive... and Peace to all.

Also, society needs to stop looking down on veterans that have major mental health issues post deployment- that's not being 'weak', it's being HUMAN. Only a PSYCHOPATH could go to war, come back and carry on like nothing happened.

I sincerely they let go of their shame and guilt.. start their healing journey. Eventually forgive themselves. They could start loving themselves again.

I will not judge you, whoever you are, because: I was not there when you took your first breath. I was not there when your parents brought you home. I was not there when you were taught about language. I was not there when you were taught about culture. I was not there when you were taught about success. I was not there when you were taught about love. I was not there for your first encounter with anger. I was not there for your first encounter with violence. I was not there for your first encounter with disappointment. I was not there for all the times your heart was broken. I was not there when your unworthiness began taking shape. I was not there for the pain and suffering you endured. I was not there for the ways you tried to make it go away. I was not there for any of what your life has been. Had my circumstances been yours, you would be me. Had your circumstances been mine, I would be you. “There but by the grace of God go I.” Who am I to judge you? What right do I have? I shall love you instead. May this be enough. ~B
