Thank you for the honest review. You are the first one to mention that Zanzibar is not a freshie and I wholeheartedly agree. Unfortunately, I bought into the hype from other fragrance influencers and paid a lot for it when it first came out. To this day, all I smell is an overbearing sweet vanilla and lots of salt. As for the Jasoor fragrance, I've ordered it and it should be here tomorrow, so I can't really comment on it, but the Zanzibar, I absolutely abhor.

I've received zanzibar this week and I agree with the fact that the coconut water smells more like coconut milk, and with the strong pepper it almost smells like spoiled milk in the opening. The dry down is ok but it's a rare lattafa L for me, I don't see myself wearing it often.

I think Lattafa simply overdid the opening, maybe chasing for better projection or something. The dry down is better, but I almost can’t stand that opening:)

I think Asad Zanzibar is an outstanding warm weather scent (the coconut tells us so) and it's very unisex. And it's a unique scent. Performance is very good. I picked it up for $21 and for that price, it's a steal.

Jasoor smells like Azarro Wanted in the mid to drydown. The opening is different. Just got it it this morning. I put them side by side on the back side of my hands. They both have that sweet tonka note and are virtually identical to my nose after the opening settles down. Not quite as heavy or strong as the original but very, very close.

I love the original Asad and enjoy it very much, more than Sauvage Elixir. And because its cheap, I spray this liberally.

I was so disappointed with Jasoor, because I was hoping it'd smell like Coral Fantasy (especially the opening, which to me smells like a loukoumi), but it's an ok fragrance. I'm waiting on my sample of Zanzibar.

Could you try tribal intense grandeur and compare it to glacier bold? I'm not sure which le beau le parfum clone is better.

I have Grandeur Tribal intense and it's great! Super similar, and lasts between 8-10 hours on clothes.

I got Zanzibar for €25 and waited for the hype to come down, but that salt in the beginning makes me feel very down. I've now left it alone for 2 months to see if it gets better, but that salt in this perfume is too much. ! Jasoor is on his way, arrives tomorrow, I think the new 9PM hype is coming soon 4 Jasoor, so I now have it for only €19, I'm curious!

Zanzibar smells like coconut flavored oatmeal to me and I am glad I did not buy into the hype and waste my money . 😮

@@klikfisz Imo. It is far and away a superior blend then Zanzibar and to me , one of best cheapies out there . We all have different tastes and noses so really no right or wrong opinions .

Opening is like coconut greek yogurt left outside the fridge 🤢, this note stays for 20-30 minutes then becomes generic vanilla perfume

I disagree with your opinion on the opening scents of this fragrance. Maybe you didn't let it macerate first before you did this review. I find this fragrance not like you are getting out of it. It's really not to sweet and overly strong. I have watched many reviewers take on this fragrance, they all says the same thing. These Middle Eastern fragrances must be macerated after receiving them in the shipment to you. It's not wise to quickly open them up and immediately smell them, they just won't smell quite right like you might expect. Take it from me, I know this and has macerated my fragrances after receiving them and to my surprise the smell was amazing. Maceration is real and it works.
