They're only invasive if they're able to breed and overpopulate the specific environment. Nobody has identified the gender of these two flamingos. They're not invasive... yet.

Flamingos aren't naturally reddish-orange in color. The red-orange pigment comes from people feeding them certain types of algae and lots of shrimp. Flamingos have a natural light-pinkish color; therefore, these two flamingos were obviously dumped by their owners.

They could have escaped.... sometimes when you clip a birds wings they can grow back and relearn to fly again

The bird is out, the borders are open. Funny how our CNN like local news is astonished that not one but two pink birds are now calling S.D. home. Wait til the bird starts doing snatch ing from Better Buzz every morning. Not gonna bee so wonderful then 😂
