Definitely curious, what is going on. I collect space patches and I have several from SpaceX and I'm always the first in line to get the next flight patch and they haven't notified me and they said they NASA has not even named the flight yet.

They asked for volunteers for this experiment of long term time in space. No one volunteered. So someone came up with an idea.

Nothing, the only problem is that without gravity, your muscles will start to become weak because they need to be constantly used to be healthy, like people with paralyzed legs, they become extremely skinny for no use, the astronauts will have a hard time arriving to earth, they won't be able to even walk.

I thought SpaceX went up and brought them back? Am I having a stroke? Seriously. Didn't they go up and get them? Wasnt there footage of one of them having to be wheeled off in a wheelchair because he wasnt used to the gravity. Also where tf did those Christmas decorations come from?

I remember the movie 'Gravity'. Why haven't we created backup systems - another copy at a separate location. The Space Shuttle system had several backup's. The astronauts may be surviving but their health and lifespan will be negatively affected.
@TommyLikeTom
@TommyLikeTom 19 күн бұрын
The most likely are backup systems but the emergency is not so great that it's necessary to use them. The cost of replacing emergency systems is a lot more than simply waiting until they can return them

Boeing does not want more bad news, which is this starliner mess. Of course they won't bite the hand that feeds them. Will they wear space x space suits? Thats got to suck for Boeing if they do.

@Flinno-k8w

US could have gotten them back probably october with a dedicated Crew dragon mission just thó get them home at the expense of $350M for the Taxpayer. To save Taxpayers money, they just rearranged the astronaut cycle and let them stay a few month longer at basically ZERO Taxpayer cost and downsides. There have been people on the ISS for more than ya year, so 8 month isn't an issue, an actually, those both are happy to get more time in space than they where supposed to. The loosers of this situation are the two astronauts that where sceduled to fly to the iss int the seats that are now empty and have to wait another 6 month to get their experience of a lifetime. So I think it was a very good decision to save the $350M Taxpayers money to get them home faster at the only expense that some astronauts have to wait longer for their turn. Goood solution.
