After watching this video I went on eBay, in the US, and found a guy that had the Bigwig wheels and the blue parts tree with front shock mounts. The wheels were about $19 US. Glenn, if you want a set I can get another set and ship them to you. I also picked up a Winger body a d wing. Thanks Glenn for the Winger idea.

Tyre lettering is must on them both!!!! Haha you know Glenn! Lovely buggies! One a past classic and one a modern classic! The Boomerang is interesting definitely preferred the BigWig towers over the silver! I would love to see the Winger with the Boomerang decals and obviously the twin front shocks and super shot wheels/tyres it would be like the Super Boomerang! That would look amazing!

Yes Glenn loving the winger idea buddy.....gotta say I loved your white body winger all them years ago, it was absolutely gorgeous. I would love to see a nod to that stunning car Glenn....maybe same body with your ideas for the shock mounts and shocks.....would look lovely with some white Vqs wheels buddy. Hi Glenn I had to pre order one of these when I first saw it as well and like you thought of mounting a wing. Still yet to build mine, time is short but the kit sits on top of my wardrobe and I get it down regularly just to look at it. I’m still just a kid at heart!! What a cool couple buggies, and a nice ramble, it's been a while since I watched one of your videos... I had never heard of that Winger before, it looks really nice! For the BBX, that Grashopper tribute is awesome. The best one I have seen so far is Fil's (Poorboys RC), just simple subtle change, painted it khaki instead of blue, very nice! My own plans, well, first of all, I don't have a BBX yet, but I bought RC Team Chonmage stickers recently, so it'll be a black and white, but with those stickers all over... And inspired by Nanni RC, I will paint the cage, but will be neon yellow, it'll be great! Looking forward to seeing more to these two beauties, what you do with yours!

I'm looking forward to seeing your take on the Winger. The twin shock front looks class and gives it a real industrial look in my opinion. I would go with a darker body and wheels and chrome graphics to enhance that industrial feel! Whatever you do will be great.

The BBX is a great build, and drives pretty damn good, i had visions of doing mine in a Rothmans livery 👌 but ended up box art and then had to move it on 😭 i think its going to look the nuts with a good wing set up. And im sure you will pull it off and knock it out the park 👌

G'day Glenn it's that time of the year my birthday has just been it's almost Christmas so I got myself some goodies I just got a Super HotShot and a candy green Grasshopper but originally I was looking at the Boomer but Super HotShot was cheaper than than Boomerang I'll get one one day. I'm going to paint my Aboriginal art earthy colours yellow CVA will look the ducks nuts I recon but I still have to get me a Boomer. Cool video mate 👍👍

cant remember who did it but the BBX looked very nice in metalic green. might get me one of these because it can be upgraded and the gearbox can take some decent power (with the old school looks). be good to see your build video to make sure im getting it for the right reasons. Nice one glen

I would use Tamiya lame flake then the white for the winger. Cadillac has a color name Dimond white I believe, should look great. For the BBX ,don't forget the slipper clutch 😅. As for color.... maybe 1 of Tamiya's color shift paints 😮.... or get some MCI Mariu decals and do a tribute buggy in matte black... Wish they would put out some of their own RC models again 😪 🙄

Hmm, for the BBX I'd be tempted to do an FAV tribute😉 And as for the Boomerang, I used to have one with the Winger body, just did it black from what I remember, and for my money it's one of the best looking bdoyshell's ever made, that flowing look is awesome! I'm sure whatever you decide to do mate, it'll look fantastic👍👍

For the Boomerang, a reverse colour scheme would look ace. So blue as the main colour with grey, red and white stripes. For the BBX almost the same reverse concept. So orange main colour, blue and red stripes. Oh, and all metallic too, to really make them pop. But whatever you do I'm sure it'll be ace 👌

Hello glenn, I got a Tamiya BBX kit. I plan on building it early next year with a buddy of mine. I want to build mine box art. I have Tamiya paint PS-4 blue and also PS-3 light blue. I am trying to decide which to use. The PS-4 is box art paint. However, the PS-3 might look good too. Thoughts?

Just got it in the mail. It shipped from Canada to Chicago customs in USA. It was then shipped to Guam then to Honolulu, Hawaii. Finally, it was shipped to Portland, Oregon then to me in Vida, Oregon. This body has some serious miles on it. 😁@@TAMIYALegends

I don't understand everyone's fascination with box art. Why would I want my car to look like every other car?

Unfortunately due to the blue plastics it is really limited on colors that will work. White , black , blue , gray or gun metal and maybe yellow is about the only colors you can get away with maybe a deep root beer brown also but I don't think any hobby paint companies make metallic root beer paint. So having said that the pink wheels are out. Dish wheels that maybe a costume paint job on them to match the body color with some lettering or what have you. That would be sick

Suppose you could always dye them black, which is what I did with the arms on both my Thundershot and Terra Scorcher as I didn't like the look of the blue.

Glen am put off the BBX them top mounts for rear shocks look to weak and if they break it’s ruined the should of manufactured a better design

I have a BBX, The cage material is soft flexible and durable, the mounts will not snap off at all. When it's all bolted together it is strong enough to do the job required of it. The cage material will not like sliding on tarmac upside down though, so high speeds I would stick to off road....😂 car all in all I'd say is fairly durable, stronger than any 80s and 90s Tamiya design.

I have to admit i was a bit underwhelmed with the BBX build , its ok but the hype that preceded its much delayed release led me to higher expectations , not one piece of alloy aside from the battery holder pin , a very flexible roll cage , just very average in my opinion .
