Thanks for your thoughts and for your efforts in producing entertaining and educational videos here! I never gave serious thought to a photography project, uncertain of a topic or intention. Well, I recently completed a 52-week project about my journey in recovery from alcohol abuse, Each week I found and edited a photo that resonated with my thoughts and feelings about recovery in the week, and then I wrote a single-page blog post about my recovery journey. The momentum for the project kept me moving forward to the one-year goal, and I definitely saw great improvements in my photography and my writing. I love sobriety! Currently, I am doing a new 52-week project about creativity. .... Keep up your helpful videos!! Thx

Hi Ralph! I couldn't agree more regarding your ideas and thoughts about photography projects. I've done numerous ones over the years, my favourite being Swans! But not just any Swans. The same pair of them over the course of several years!😁 I've literally got thousand of photographs, both printed and on my computer.

Great idea to do a long term project ,I see a lot of harvesting in my area so the change of landscape would be a great idea over the seasons

Great idea Ralph, love the images of the tree. Must say it could be something I might do with living near the sea and the other direction the moors maybe use the images as a project. Thank you for that we see how we go. 👌

I agree with you Ralph, embarking on a project journey always has very good results on photography but it definitely requires a great deal of dedication. Looking forward to seeing the results of your projects. I definitely like that tree, it is such a beautiful subject!!!

How fascinating Ralph! And what a tree! Hope it’s well protected. I have a few projects that I have kept alive over the last two to three years, and one is old weathered tree snags. Also living in the high desert of eastern Oregon, there are remains of the old Oregon Trail that can still be found here, a project that I started a number of years back without really considering it a “project”. And it has morphed into a few side projects as it has grown. I’ve noticed that a number of major photo contests have paid respects to the project idea (NLPA now has a project category - hint hint!). Look forward to seeing your project grow.

Hi mate, certainly has made me think a project might be a good idea for me. Like you said i have hit a bit of a photographic block , mainly due to time as still have diy projects i am trying to complete but when i do get the odd day i struggle for locations locally, so maybe a project might be the way to go for such days. A very interesting video Ralph I look forward to seeing how you get on with your projects. I liked the close up black and white photographs of the trunk of the tree. A project is a great idea I have sort of fell into one in a local country park close to where I live. I think I am going to develop this further on seeing your video.
