Try a rod tip light on your rod, can see them clearly without any other light source. No more rods in the sand! Nice going, great fishing at night

Mate great burley right under ya nose. Mullet frames. On my boat i use fresh herring for bait, the heads get crushed and the head and frames go in the burley bucket.

Hey mate 👋 yes mullet frames went straight out as burley I love a super heavy burley trail usually but it didn’t seem to matter to much as there was my fair share of fish around 🎣✅

Mate the tailor seemed to be just showing up as it was starting to get too late for me 😅🎣 very good size and reckon more would have came if I stayed longer, my 4 young kids don’t care how much sleep dad has had an they are waking me up at 6am regardless 🤣🤣🎣✅ thanks for watching Andy!

@@rush.gang.fishing I'm only just getting back in to it becaus my daughter wants to have a crack, we are down south. I don't tell people where I fish either lol. We don't really know many people here in WA, we see everyone else catch fish but it's hard to show someone when you don't know much yourself. I would just like her to be able to catch a fish she can take home and eat but as we don't know the beaches here it's hard to know where to go without having to drive hours to get to a decent spot.

@@peterpiper2447 fully understand mate I take my young ones fishing and it makes there day when they catch anything, the kids are easy to please just don’t over think it an keep it fun. My honest advise would be start small Say a cheap 9ft rod. 3000 size shimano reel with 15lb mono. Buy a few of the pre-tied sabiki rigs then get the “burely cage sinker” and they clip right on. That way any snags/birds nests there’s only one knot to tie and you guys are fishing again. Squeeze the powder burley into the sinker each time you cast. Same stuff I use at very start of this video. Use tiny bits of squid. Cut to size the night before so all the prep works done. Try go first or last light to get whiting/herring/skippy/tailor flathead etc will all eat this rig. Middle of day the blowfish/wind makes it tricky. I don’t think location is super important with the smaller species but anywhere like pinnaroo point, floret drain Quinn’s beach will all fish well using this technique. You will both have fun plus a feed of whiting/herring is very hard to beat. Good luck and Hope this somewhat helps mate ✅🎣👍🏻 easterly wind behind your back always makes it better for the young ones as well, easier to cast an often less/no seaweed 👍🏻

I've got everything from boat rods to surf rods to estuary rods, big reels and over head reels for the big dogs lol and 3000 and 5000 reels. All reels are equipped with 15p braid just in case, I use a 20p fluro and 30p leader, could go lighter but just in case we hit a ray it's there for the "justincase". Ive never been shown how to use lures so we do baits. I rig up with 1/0 longshank top hooks and 2/0 long shank for the bottom. Usually have a running star sinker sometimes a ball sinker depending on current. It's the not knowing the beaches around where we are that's the main issue.
