Why wasn't DuckTales (1987) included in the block? That was a good Disney toon, with a theme song that slaps even still to this day. Now that I think about it, Timon & Pumbaa should have been on there as well.

I remember that I watched Disney's One Saturday Morning block (third Saturday morning cartoon block right next to Fox Kids and Kids' WB) on ABC Network during my childhood years in the late 1990s before it changed to Disney's One Too in 1999. Shows that I remember watching were Recess, Disney's Doug, Winnie the Pooh, Pepper Ann, 101 Dalmatians, and Schoolhouse of Rock. Those were good times.

One Saturday Morning was like heaven to me as a kid! Recess was easily my favorite, and it was awesome how they did the block like its own show!

Debuted three months before I turned twelve. I watched it every week, getting up at five every Saturday morning. This was my first experience with Saturday morning cartoons after growing up with cable.

It wasn't Disney that decided to create a companion block. When UPN Kids was still airing on UPN, or United Paramount Network, it wasn't doing so well in the ratings, and eventually in 1998, UPN decided that a children's programming block would be more successful, if a more well-known name was associated with it. And UPN, began negotiating with the Walt Disney Company to provide programming for a two hour daily children's block.

And this sadly came at the cost, of using Upn's Kids Action Zone. I briefly enjoyed watching the 1sm shows on Sunday, until I wanted to watch some more Marvel heaven... Until I realized that K.A.Z. was gone.

I remember watching the block and the reason for Mrs munger’s class getting changed into centerville was the then adults that had there yearbook page used for the shorts sued over not getting their permission to use their photos from the yearbook page even though I loved the shorts I can see their point of view on it after reading about the shorts many years later and u failed to mention the creation of the Saturday editions of the news programs today good morning America and the good morning show the pushed the lineups back about 2 hours cause before the children’s television act of 1990 Saturday morning television started at like 6:00 am cause I remember during that time getting up early to watch he early airing shows being born in 1984 I barely remember before the act was put into place

Here in NYC, “One Saturday Morning” was on WABC-TV (channel 7) and “One Too” was on WWOR-TV (channel 9). The final airing “One Too” was from 8/31/01, just a week and a half before the tragic events of 9/11 took place in NYC that year.

I like brand spanking new Doug but there is something about Nickelodeon’s 4 seasons that has its charm and by season 3 of the Disney years is obvious they relied heavily on quailman to for fill episodes count cause a lot of episodes in season three at least would be a more quailman episode as I have noticed in my remake of the one Saturday morning block on Disney+

I didn't mind it when Doug left Nickelodeon either. I did like the continuation of Roger being rich, Pheobe had the school built and named after her. Hell, apparently, it was popular enough to warrant a theatrical release in 1999. 🤔😗🙂

I was a pokemon kid, I mean disney was meh, okay I guess but nothing beat waking up and grabbing some waffles and hearing "IM GONNA BE THE VERY BEST! LIKE NO ONE EVER WAAAAAS!" then going to my friends after words and playing pokemon. No one beats Pokémon, Nintendo will ways bt sleeping gaint. The New Zelda game is coming iur and Metroid, you almost literally hear Sony and Xbox yelling "FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU" As the switch prints money and the new pokemon anime curves stomps every Disney show and movie.
