It's a great experience for both kids and adults, with a variety of marine life from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans - the exhibits are well-curated! It's not a formal tour - after you buy your tickets, you can explore the aquarium at your own pace. You can walk through all the exhibits and stay as long as you'd like. There's so much to see, and the flexibility makes it a relaxed and enjoyable experience! I'd say you'll need about 1.5 to 2 hours to explore the aquarium fully. If you're really into marine life or want to take your time at each exhibit, allow yourself 3 hours or more. The V&A Waterfront, Ferris wheel, District Six Museum, and Castle of Good Hope are all relatively close to each other. I'd recommend starting your day at the District Six Museum or Castle of Good Hope, as they offer a great historical perspective and are fairly close, so you can walk between the two. After exploring these, you can take an Uber to the V&A Waterfront for a leisurely stroll, some shopping, a delicious meal, and of course, a ride on the Ferris wheel. It’ll be a full day but totally doable-and an amazing experience!
