Thank you Michael for doing this video that I requested. It’s nice to see you read your comments and respond so quickly. Excellent video, in Canada here there is a big price difference in these two clubs as the Mizuno is $699 and the Ping is $879. Ouch LOL. I prefer the looks of the Mizuno definitely, and then total distance for 1.5 yards which on any given day of testing these drivers those numbers could even be reversed about the basically are at a draw. I would definitely purchased a Mizuno in a heartbeat if I needed a driver. Thank you for all your great videos!

Well Tsr is down to 650, I wonder how it stacks up vs these two.

@miken2686 a little bit, and I hit them on days at different places. Mizuno feels great but I honestly think the shaft is just as important because these heads are so good.

Mizuno everyday of the week. The only downside is resaleablility of the Mizuno in the second hand market in a few years, it will be no where near as high as the PIng.

I recently updated most of the clubs in the bag. When it came to driver I opted for the Mizuno ST Max 10.5 degree. I love it! In fact I even purchased Mizuno 3 and 5 fairway woods. The price made this decision very easy.

I'd like to see you put the TSr up against some of these new drivers. Based on your videos in the past the TSr is equal to or better (ball speed and distance) than the new drivers. They are all close to the same price so may not matter in the end.
@neilquinney11710 ай бұрын
Agreed. I like the look of these new drivers but I think the TSR range looks better and probably out-performs them. It’ll be interesting to see what Titleist launch next driver-wise.

I was looking to buy a new driver. The Ping G425 just wasn’t what I thought it would be. I went and the pro started with the new G430 10 moi, I,couldn’t control the ball with. It was the new Taylor made same thing it wasn’t workin for me. The same thing with Calloway, Cobra. He adjusted each driver and we looked at the numbers all about same. The he got the Mizuno and I tried it he adjusted it several times. It feels perfect. So the next day I went out played nine holes just to see how it would do on the course. I was totally amazed with the performance of it. The longest drive I had was 272 yards. I haven’t hit a ball that far in few years. My Mizuno is amazing. And I’m 74 years old

I got both after watching this. I like the feel of the Mizuno better though so may sell the Ping.

I got fitted this week for a new driver. They brought out a ping and I swung a few times and they adjusted it tried again they changed shafts. Then he said let’s try a Taylor Made went through the same thing adjusting different shafts. The the Calloway club went through same things then the Cobra same thing. Then he said let’s try the Mizuno and same thing. After swinging a few times there was no comparison. I bought the Mizuno. And played 9 holes the next day. Wow I’m I’m impressed with the distance and forgiveness.

Great review, Michael. Both look really impressive and the numbers appear pretty similar. To your point, cost may be the only major difference.

Could probably pick up the G425 for a good price not much difference between that and the 430 other than the sound.

I tried both drivers last weekend they are both about 10m longer than my Ping G30 from 2014. Never thought I am considering anything else but a Ping driver but I am certainly doing it now. The Mizuno felt a little lighter to me but thats just me most likely. I also tried the Taylormade IQ also very nice....
@shaunkelley5510 ай бұрын
Doesn’t look too much between them, both look great forgiving drivers, personally prefer the looks and sound of the Mizuno, and with the price difference I’d go Mizuno

Thanks Michael for a Wonderful comparison. I have a Tsi3 and also G430 max. I get good numbers with Tsi any day, though the g430 is more forgiving.

im playing off a 3 right now and im not always the best driver of the ball , some days im spot on and others i cant hit a fairway.. went from TSR3 to paradym ventus TR 6x both drivers and switched into the 10k last week same shaft and what a difference.. ive gotten 180 ball speed from my tsr its a beast but all over the place.. and like you said with the 10k i can go after it and still hit a fairway or close.. it's the misses that arent bad exactly what i was looking for we cant hit every fairway lol .. im 115-118 head speed and its a cheating stick honestly and it spins less than the Paradymn ... i haven't had the 10k on trackman yet but it's definitely heavier so i imagine speed is down a bet
@evanlaudenschlager362910 ай бұрын
With the price difference being what it is, would you say if the performance is close enough between the two to suggest going with the Mizuno over the Ping?

Just got fitted for the ping 10k can't believe how low the spin was as I'm always a high spin player, wish I could've tried the mizuno too but store didn't have it

Mizuno for me. Certainly not enough extra performance for the extra price of the Ping.

I'll have the 'quiet luxury' looks of Mizuno please. Although I consider myself lucky with a 299 EUR ex-demo (but hardly hit) deal on the 230Z back in December, a major step up from my 2014 gamer, I still can't stop thinking if the Max would even be a better fit... If only Mizuno would have called me back in December, I would have given it a go. Even although I think that all current prices for new drivers are just crazy high. Let's see what the Mizuno Max will cost by the time we hit December this year.

So based on the number TSR2 is the way to go vs the ping 430 max 10k…..especially the pricing on the titleist now… I’ve hit the the 430 and yeah it feels super forgiving, does the TSR2 come close to the forgiveness of the 430?? I’ve hit the TSR4 and that was way to unforgiving, even for the pros I heard. Thanks!!

If you deleted one of each... you could throw a blanket around the ping. More ball speed with slower swing with that dispersion... makes me feel good about the ping I just bought ha

Honestly, im struggling NOT to buy the ping. U hit it and it was amazing...not as pretty as my tsr3 and louder...but it just went straight with great spin maximizing slightly off shots....i really dont want it but I'm truly entertaining it against my 0 cap and personal bias😢 My tsr3 was as fast or faster by 1 to 2 bs but overall accuracy, ping slapped my gamer(annoyed me) and that was definitive. When im on, its tsr3 no doubt but 1 slightly off shot i think....hmmm

I had the tsi 3 and now have the 430 max. I would have good and bad days with the tsi but for my piece of mind the ping was great and my spin was perfect at 9 degrees. I use my ping a lot more within a round, I also picked up the fw woods and hitting those really well with really good distance.
