They du8g a giant hole in our driveway and installed our 2 500 Bushel Lowry pits. This was a challenge but it will be awesome when it's done!

To bad you couldn’t put tile at the bottom of the rock at the concrete and it drain all the way to the bottom of the pit as long as the metal doesn’t get a leak below where you are putting tile it should be fine I’m not a expert so nobody beat me up lol this pit is definitely better than using a auger or a drive over unloading auger you can hold a lot in the pit and get the truck dumped and on it’s way back to the field

Had no idea the pits would be that large, guess for speed of dump it’s good but would have a maintenance concern. Do the augers have replaceable sleeves or something? How would you replace if a hole is worn in one, have to break up concrete? Noticed Doug was unwittingly on camera a few times! Lol!

The augers do have replaceable sleeves, and most everything is able to be worked on/replaced above ground. We have a smaller Lowry Pit on the other side and have replaced almost every part over 20 years and havn't had to bust the concrete yet!

Damn so Backwards on construction. Should have dug deeper for a sump pump. Then I would have put in 3/4 Gravel Compacted it for 12". Then framed for concrete. You will have problems for years to come. Now go Grab me a Beer Red Neck!

We put tile in the bottom and a sump pump with a tile to take the water away.
