For the bonus question at the end, I knew that B was true because the starter Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow traded up to gen 2 games always holds an item called "Light Ball" that doubles it's special attack.

I love trivia games, would love to see more of this series! On the question about each regions having a restaurant, I was going through them in my head and I was thinking that in Hoenn it'd be that place on the beach south of Slateport where you fight a bunch of trainers and get a soda pop, but then I looked it up when you said the only ones were in ORAS and was surprised to realize that's not a cafe, it's just... a house with a bunch trainers in it that also gives you soda pop for some reason 🤔

A couple others: The famous Light Ball could only be obtained by importing the Yellow version Pikachu. TM 08 (Psych Up) could only be obtained by importing Abra or Kadabra from a gen 1 game, with the exception of wild Kadabra from Yellow, which is where Twisted Spoon came from (only when caught as Kadabra).

17:45 I'm pretty sure the Pikachu one would count as a lie as well. You *can not* catch a Pikachu in BW *at all* and in B2W2 it requires a World Link event. The only way it wouldn't be a lie is if B2W2 was omitted from the statement

It might have been better phrased as "Pikachu isn't in the Unova regional dex in either BW or B2W2" which is true, but also might have been too easy? Or maybe that's just how I feel because it's one of the random trivia a pieces I happen to know. Magikarp is also absent from both Unova dexes but is available in every other region.

Magikarp can be caught in the Nature Preserve (unlocked upon completing the Unova dex) from B2W2, but it's an odd case since that spot is described as being far from Unova. Regardless though, this means Magikarp can be caught in every generation.

Pikachu being a Tiger with breasts was never an anime thing. That wouldn’t even make sense. They couldn’t reanimate the entire show with a big breasted tiger. The English localization team for the games originally redesigned all the Pokémon before they were rejected by higher ups.

@@---oq5kb Pokémon shiny chances are dependant on their DV’s, the legendaries are the only Pokémon with stats high enough. You need very specific stats to do it, but if you get those stats, they’ll have the correct DV’s (or IV’s), that when transferred to a different generation they will be shiny. The ditto is the red gyarados glitch yeah. I don’t think Snorlax is able to but it might be possible.

@@mysticsquirtle5109 It has nothing to do with how high the stats of the legendary Pokemon are. In fact, shiny Pokemon in gen 1/2 are guaranteed to have mediocre stats, requiring a DV of exactly 10 out of 15 in every stat except Attack and HP (Attack has multiple possible values, but not all, and HP will always be 0 or 8). The problem is just that random encounters in gen 1 are substantially less random than static and gift encounters, and the three 10 values never spawn. You could get something with much better stats, but it would not be shiny. Starters and any other gift Pokemon probably can be though.

I always assumed Guardevoir meant "guard duty", which would kinda match the role she plays in Mystery Dungeon. But, again, not a fluent French speaker. FunFact on the Answer for the Gotta Catch them all one, it is still a lie, but since it said "on a Game's" box rereleases should also count and I own the pokemon crystal box for the 3ds download code and since it uses the OG artwork it says "gotta catch 'em all", but its is not the same box as back then since it has the 3DS logo on it and the 3DS release was way after Gen3 ;)

B. in the last question is no glitch. The held item is determined by the catch rate of the Pokémon. For Kadabra and starter Pikachu there are special values in Pokémon Yellow to ensure that you will always get Twisted Spoon and Light Ball.
