When Chuck made this video ranking, Stell hasn't sung Defying Gravity yet, too bad. But even without that, he still is no.1 undeniably and irrefutably so. Proof is Stell winning the male main vocalist in PPOP awards for years in a row. Nobody comes close yet. If someone wants to take the #1 spot, he should sing raw and live via tiktok for hours as can Stell effortlessly. :-)

SB19 is the standard. They have set the bar so high. Every one that will come after them will be compared to them. It will be good for our industry. Filipinos have a lot of singers but, if they Want to belong to the “cream of the crop” they must be willing to work hard and Master their craft. Our standard for singers are high before but now it has gone more higher. A challenge for all that are aspiring to be known.😅

The difference is the emotions. Sb19 You can feel the emotions when they sing. Most New Ppop they are focus on projection or how they look when they are singing.

One thing to note is dimash is classically trained while stell didn't even explore much of his singing skills until he joined the group. Yes, he was part of his high school choir but that barely compares to the amount of training dimash did. This makes me wonder how crazy good Stell would've been had he receive the same amount of training as Dimash.

Dimash is Dimash, Stell is Stell. They're both amazing singers in their own way. They're different in some situations Dimash from start trained as an opera / theatrical singer while Stell never trained in any Music school in his younger life. Stell sings while dancing but he sings still stable and insane. He sing , sings without any acrobatic style just pure talents and the best of it he sings with a heart. Just my only my take. not very familiar with dimash but i've heard both of their renditions of all by myself as well as few of dimash' performances and i've noticed that while dimash is crazy when it comes to vocal ranges, the emotions stell is delivering along with his belting is uncomparable and i think that's one of the edges he has when comparing the two. being a great singer with great technique is one thing but being able to tell a story while performing is just 👏. but then again, the two have different things they wanted to focus and prioritize when it comes to performances specially when they are in different genres, it's hard but a collab would def be interesting specially a lot of people are always comparing these two 😅

This is good because I only know fewer Ppop groups they are all talented. I guess the difference is that maybe because SB19 trained for so long and waited for so long. That's why when they're given a chance to perform on stage they have that passion and you can feel how much they waited for it. What other international vocal Coaches observe how Stell sing one high notes in 1 second so long in a female key voice like in All by Myself by Celine, Dyfying Gravity, Disney Prince of Lion King 'Circle of Life ' etc. Stell heavenly Crystal clear voice makes your feel Chill ♥. The way I understand acrobatic is when you overdo your runs in singing, you do acrobatic with your voice. So many angles when you could just sing it smoothly.

I heard Dimash sang All By Myself. Sure he has a very high range. But he mostly uses his headvoice while Stell uses mix between the chest voice and head voice while belting which gives off more powerful impact. And his vocal agility that can easily do the transitions.

In an interview, the boys were asked what would they have been if they’re not with SB19 now. Stell said he would still be a choreographer like he was before joining the group. Because of his amazing vocal prowess, people sometimes forget he is first and foremost a dancer. 🙂

Agree. SB19 is the standard in Ppop. They've set the level very high. The next best boy group is definitely Alamat. Performancewise, they need to really work on perfecting their singing and dancing a bit more. Even just working on their arm and core extensions would make a big difference. It would make for a cleaner performance.

When we say acrobatics..it means style or wave of the song..like an example if u compare dimash and stell covering all by my selfof Celine Dion song,u can see that dimash done so many style in the song when hitting the high note he done like theatrecal,that became to far in the original and his deliberation in the song is not that clear, while stell in the other hand..he did not use other style on the songs, instead he clearly hit the high notes and deliver the song clearly, wich is sounds like the original. you can also check that video. Stell is so amazing and his performances always hit right emotionally. Technically Dimash is a more skilled vocalist (no discredit to Stell at all, it’s just that Dimash is frankly a genius who has truly put his life since childhood into singing and, while he can absolutely deliver emotional performances and has shown as such, he focuses more on technique/highlighting vocal skills much of the time) but preference is what matters in the end. A duet with them would be soooooo left field but honestly entertaining haha! In any case, thank you for the reactions, especially those to Dimash and SB19/SB19 members!! Also: Samaltau is a Kazakh folk song that Dimash sings very well (in concert/on stage) about a young soldier being made to enlist in the Russian military/the journey to get there. If you’re interested in Dimash, I’d suggest checking it out. The 2019 version performed at the Closing and Award Ceremony of the 6th Silk Road International Film Festival is really… something else :)

I think what Cashual Chuck means by "acrobatic" is that he often makes his voice "too showy". Like what happens if you sing with too much curls and runs like it's overly done than usual. Anyhow, I totally agree. I have been looking forward to see more Ppop group to rise up but much to my dismay, they aren't that much close to SB19's talent and charisma. I mean, yes, they are also good but they are not on that "level" yet. Hopefully they will soon reach it too. So far, the only other Ppop group that caught my attention when it comes to their vocals and charisma is G22. It's just a major setback that one of the girls left and only 3 remained but I am still rooting for their comeback. Thanks again for this RV. P.S. Stell is definitely on a different level. No doubt. ❤
